I have the UDP, I don’t want room service, if I’m not sick I want Chops, steak and salad. Not chicken soup and salad.

Who said anytthing about chicken soup and salad? Why couldn't they deliver chops, steak, and salad? Should be able to deliver anything they make onboard.

We also were able to order Chops in quarantine. It took a little pushing with guest services. We also had the UDP & UBP. Room service was very slow. Like 10 min to answer the phone and an hour to get our order. Seeing how many people did the covid disembark made that make alot more sense.

The regular room service menu got boring for the 5 of us after a couple meals.

Great to hear! Hopefully, the lines are quick to adapt to conditions on the ground and keep revenue flowing AND deliver a satisfactory cruise experience in the process, despite covid. It may be around for a while, adapt or die!

If you're near them for 15 minutes or more in a 24 hour period, yes.

If someone is seated next to you in the MDR or any restaurant, or if someone sits next to you at a slot machine or at a blackjack table, pool, or anywhere, they can identify you and quarantine you to your room. This is BS. I was all set and ready to go, but this contact tracing is crazy. I’m holding off to see if RCL cancels the cruise.

Welcome to living (and travelling) during a pandemic.

I'm not quite understanding the contact tracing either.  I suppose they know who you sit near in the MDR but who knows the first/last names and/or cabin numbers of the person next to them at the slot machine or on the next bar stool?

They have cameras everywhere. You list where you have been and they can pull it up , even with masks on the facial recognition works.

it must be an arduous task and they may limit it to dining , but it can be done.

Agreed....Facial Recognition works as you depart the ship in most US Ports now.  You don't even have to pull out your Passport..just look at the Cam...it dings, and the Rep tells your your done....go home

So, is there any reporting on the number of people that are quarantined because of contact tracing vs because they tested positive or feel ill?  And how long do you have to stay quarantined if you don't develop symptoms?

Seen posts where others on Celebrity were moved to the 'red zone' and able to have alcohol delivered. Not sure why Royal is operating differently in not allowing it.

Thank you so much for this answer. If I am in this position which I hope I’m not, I don’t want room service.

If I’m sick that’s a different story.

Just for insight on this. Security called me twice to do contact tracing. This was shortly after testing positive. Quite a few people tested positive on the last day so this seems fairly quick. First was more general - asking if I know of anyone I came into contact with.

Second was wanting to know my exact movements around the ship for the two days prior to testing positive, giving approximate times and length of times in those locations. In general it wasn’t too difficult to remember exactly where I had been but some hours were fuzzy. Security made several comments about not to worry about being exact as they can check back using card transactions of both me and my partner (spend transactions, door opens, casino use etc) and they can look back to see (I assumed from cameras) where we moved on to if we weren’t sure of the order.
