Why not head to Guest Services and see if you can get a nice upgrade to a large suite?

We thought about it. We actually had a big in on a grand suite that never changed to expired or anything. With it as empty as the ship is, we figured it's not worth it. No need for the suite deck since it's empty, we already have access to the diamond lounge if we wanted, and already have the unlimited dining and drink package. We've done grand suites and junior suites in the past but this trip just a balcony. When we booked it for the two of us in an 8 night balcony we only paid like $600 a person lol.

I still  would be curious what is available and what the cost would be.

I'm set for Allure on February 13, assuming it goes forward. We were on Jewell out of Cyprus in July and it was max 25% capacity, which was great. Just got off a NY cruise on Carnival Mardi Gras which was closer to 80 percent and was kind of a madhouse at times, although fun. Have a great week!

OMG! Did I read that right? 4.95% of those onboard were tested positive???? 😬

The OP seems to be having a good time. Loving the pictures they are sharing. The letter and comment about percentages was addressed earlier in this thread. The OP asked that we try to keep this thread focused on the review so the thread does not get too off track and doesnt have too many distracting comments from their review. So far, sounds like they are enjoying themselves.  Hope you are enjoying their review as well. 🙂

OP, thanks for doing a review.  We hope to be on the Allure on a b2b in mid-late February and are trying to decide whether to purchase the UDP.   We never have before but this just might be the time to give it a try.  Your lunch photos from Giovanni's look great.

Go Chiefs!

We did the udp for the first time in October on Odyssey and loved it so we did it again. It's nice doing specialty each night vs the normal main dining room.

We are enjoying all of your posts! Thank you. We were scheduled to be on this cruise, but got scared from all the news and warnings. Due to both of us being asthmatics, we chickened out and cancelled a few days ago. We got “canceler’s remorse” and called the following day to see if we could cancel our cancellation. It was too late.

It looks like so much fun! We’re sitting at home, feeling sorry for ourselves, but it’s helping a lot to live vicariously through you and your posts and pictures! We love them!

My son didn’t cancel and is on the cruise, so I’m extra happy to read your posts and see the pictures!

Have fun and thanks for taking time to post!

Ship was packed last cruise so doesn't surprise me. 1/4 full this trip, big difference

Please let’s keep this thread positive so it doesn’t get shut down. No drama please.

The Vision left Coco Cay this morning at 7am.  We are currently on Indy and when we opened our curtains this morning around 6:30, Vision was sitting next to us at the Pier.

How was it on Indy?  Was it reduced capacity or did it seem full?  People adhering to the rules?  Will be on her next month.  Haven't seen a lot of information on her.

In October in Odyssey there was about 1,800 and it was wonderful having the piano bar to yourself, going to the pool mid afternoon and have your pick of chairs, etc. Oasis class never feels crowded at full capacity so I'm interested to see how this feels

I was on the first 3 cruises in October. First and third with DH. Maybe we met in the D lounge? It was great having low passenger counts.

That’s a great price. Was that with a casino discount or a L & S?
