You're very, very, very lucky to receive that offer. My husband gambled over $8,000 last month on the Apex, went from Amythest to Sapphire and although he was treated very nicely by the casino host he never received a free cruise certificate for his play.

Really? No offers on your account either? That is a lot of money to gamble and not have a free room offer.

And as a 'typical Carnival cruiser', I must say I'm a bit disheartened at the negativity. Remember that knife cuts both ways.

20 cruises on Carnival since 1986 and currently have 5 booked on Excel Class ships.  It's not negatively at all, it's reality.  There are many that cruise on Carnival that reinforce the mantra that Carnival is the Walmart of the Seas.  Many card carrying members of the me first society that think nothing of pushing the envelope and breaking the rules whenever possible, smuggle on booze, chair hog and remove tips.

Hi Benny,

Thank you for taking the time from your vacation to share helpful info and photos with us.

Would you be so kind to find out on the Apex the following:

1. The quarantine procedure on the Apex.  For example, if one is in Aqua Class,  and needs to quarantine, does the passenger stay in his/her cabin?  - Or - Is the passenger moved to another cabin on another deck?  Also, if travelling as a family, can the family stay together in quarantine all together, even if some aren't showing symptoms but all have been exposed?

I called Celebrity several times .  Some say one must move, others say no, you stay in your designated cabin(makes more sense.)

Could you please find out while you are on board what the procedure is?  (We have an upcoming cruise.) I apologize if you reported it and I missed it.

2.  News constantly changes, but I spoke with Celebrity and they said that some islands like St. Thomas and St Kitts won't allow passengers on the island unless you are on a ship booked shore excursion due to the Covid situation.  Is that true, or can you take a cab independently to the beach on St. Thomas and St. Kitts?     (I realize you are on a Western Car. itinerary, but perhaps crew might know the answer.)

Thank you and safe travels!

Day 7

If you are looking for bags… Market street is the street to go.  You have to walk down the street and look into the shops.  It is not advertised!  Remember haggling is your friend!  They start the price so ridiculous high.

On day one it was probably 45 minutes at most.  Nothing outrageous either, up $50.00 bucks.  I guess they want that $50.00 back 😝.  Very little gaming activity with Blue Chip.  Still that shining white pearl level 😝

Good thinking to book it before they realize their computer has gone bananas to be giving that. 🙊

They will not discuss the quarantine procedure with me.  I gently asked and they change the conversation very quickly!  If you read through CC on Parkerson’s thread, the person that tests positive is moved to the quarantine cabin and the close contacts are isolated in the original room and test.  If they test negative they can either join the positive person and remain in quarantine or they can stay in their original room.

I can not comment on those islands as we did not visit them.  In December we were allowed to go on our own if you are vaccinated but again things are changing so that might be irrelevant now!

BennyBrun - Your food pictures are killing me!!  Everything looks so fresh and so good!!

I also want to thank BennyBrun and SNJCruisers for all the wonderful updates on how things are going on a cruise right now.  Your positive attitude is contagious.  And if I could get off work, I would be booking a cruise right now.                                                                                                                               I also want to thank you for ignoring the stupid bickering that some decided to add to your live feed.  Not the place for the arguments or negativity.                                                                                                    Enjoy the rest of your cruise!!!

Thank you so much!  I am so glad you came along on the cruise!  At least you don’t have to worry about the calories from all the food I have been eating 😝
