Contact Tracing from Crew??

It just occurred to me that I could be as careful as possible in social distancing but maybe be contact traced because my waiter tested positive during the periodic crew testing.   Do any of you know if this has happened to anyone?  It could be a waiter, bartender, casino dealer, or any other crew member that you had a 15 minute contact with.  Wouldn't that be a real bummer!

Other than the casino dealer i can’t picture being close to any of those you mentioned for 15 straight minutes.  But you might add masseuse or hairdresser or manicurist to that list

Where on Celebrity can I find that definition of close contact? Thanks. 

I realize that CDC uses that. But in a waiter/bartender environment, that would pretty much be everyone who is served a meal or did at a bar for 30-40 minutes.

Really? 

 

Celebrity used interviews and video to find individuals that need to be checked.  Close contact could include your waiters, bartenders and cabin attendant.  Passengers have been tested.  Seems likely some were isolated.  Since the numbers of crew and passengers that test positive or are tested are a "secret"; you won't really know.

It's in the CDC's Conditional Sail Order. It lists a number of terms, including "contact tracing", and states that they align with CDC definitions.

I think protocols for close contacts don't include identifying the infected individual they came into contact with. No one can possibly answer your question other than to speculate.
