Not sure if you have been on oasis pre amp.  But if so, how is music Hall compared to the old Dazzles venue?   We always loved Dazzles and it makes me sad to think it would be very different.

Unless I am mistaken but it has been amplified!  It looks more modern now and I feel it has less seating.

Yeah.  They revamped dazzles.  Not sure why.  They still had live bands and dancing it seems. They used to leave the Windows open to the boardwalk(no drapes) and it was white and bright.  Usually a band from the Philippines that absolutely killed a ton of cover songs.  They were awesome.   There was also a Jamaican band that was great too.   Both had female leads that were talented.

They moved the Jamaican / Caribbean music to Boleros.

Yepaer … but you have to go into town to get it… not an activity I would recommend!

They hardly ever kill/rob tourists. It would not be a good look for the country and tourism. Most places they just sort of look grouchy. :classic_tongue::classic_biggrin:

I believe you but I just don’t want anyone reading this review be that 0.0000000001%.  I have been to a lot of places and walked out on my own, Roatan/ Coxen Hole port area is at the bottom of my list right now of places I would walk out on my own. Belize city is just above that.  It is a beautiful place, I would do it through the ship on an excursion.

You are welcome.  As you might know I just came off the Apex and truly enjoyed the ship and that pampered feeling.  I knew the entertainment would light but I went to the solarium a lot during the down time and relaxed.  Their Solarium is not like Royal’s it’s a nice relaxing space with no bar, just the spa cafe.  Again all about what you want to get out of your cruise.  I like them all but I do have my least favorite line.  Lol!

we have an interesting comparison coming up later this year. First,  Oasis at Thanksgiving with Family--a free for all I suspect. Then the Beyond  in the new year.

I also suspect given what we want to do with each cruise, they both will work out fine, just fine.

Thanks so much for your 2 great pictorial reviews!  I just wondered if you had the soda package or saw people using the cups while onboard.  Is staff using the Coke Freestyle machines or can passengers use them?

Also in your Compasses, is states you need reservations for Windjammer.  How does that work?  Do you make a same day reservation in the app?

Thank you so much.  I do not have the soda package but the staff is using the freestyle machine for you.  I see them standing in front of the machine with a divider.

the compass needs to be updated on a few things.  There is no reservation required for Windjammer.  Reservation is required for Solarium.

Hi! I loved reading both your reviews. I’ll be on Wonder in March with the UDP so it was great to see all your food pictures from both weeks.

I have two quick questions. When you said not to ask questions outside of the gated area, can you explain a bit more? I was in Nassau in October and my husband asked for directions to the restroom. A local kept asking for $5 after he told him. Is it like that?

When you bought the coffee did you have to find a place to exchange your money into local currency or how did that work?

Thanks so much!

We are certainly going to miss your daily review! I have not had a good reason to get on CC for almost two years. Glad I found this one! Have a great last day!!

Wow thank you so much!  Welcome aboard the virtual cruise!  Actually I still have a sea day left tomorrow so another day on this beautiful ship and another day of pictures!

Thanks for all the info.  This helps a lot for our upcoming Allure trip.  I know Oasis and Allure well, but not the post covid situation.  Your pics and comments give me a better feel for everything post Covid.  Can’t wait to get my family back out on a cruise.  Enjoy your next several cruises on Oasis.

That is awesome!  I am going to have to block sometime off next year to get onto the Wonder!  In most places I visit on my own you do not want to ask questions or solicit advice from people right outside the cruise terminal.  You either get people that tries to sell you stuff or they ask for money like your case in Nassau and or both.  You want to look like you belong, don’t look at the maps on your phone and pointing at the streets be prepared inside the compound!!  If you really do need to ask questions go inside a department store or a chain looking store and ask someone in there but in Belize / Roatan those options are not available.

In Roatan I used my basic blue AMEX card with a very low credit limit.  This is the card I use to buy stuff with outside the USA.  It has a low limit with the backing with AMEX so I feel better protected.  I do not like to take out cash or open up my wallet in a lot of foreign places especially wearing a Royal Caribbean bracelet 😂

Thank you so much and enjoy your cruise!  BTW smoking is returning to the Casino on 2/14 in case I forgot to mention that.  The staff was told they can go into relaxed protocols as well ( no more KN95 mask back to the blue Royal paper mask)

Best review ever! Just one more question... how do you fill your Tupperware pitcher?

On the first day I take it to Windjammer and ask the crew that’s serving water to fill it for me.  I ask for ice day and night from the room steward so when it gets to the half way point I add ice and put it back in the fridge.  Always chilled water on demand.
