Live Value Cruising Review of Oasis of the Sea 2/6/22 - 2/13/22 Plenty of Pictures!

The time has come for the value cruising portion of the virtual cruise on Oasis of the Sea.  This week I will be cruising with no beverage package and no dining package.  The only splurge I is the streaming Wi-Fi and a haircut.  It will be a totally different experience as I will be trying out all the complimentary dinning options and explore every nook and cranny of the ship that we did not have time to do last week.  Specialty dinning takes a huge chunk of your time!  Come along for another fun, upbeat and most importantly A LOT of pictures virtual cruise!

Quick Recap

Last week I was on Oasis of the Sea.  We had UDP (unlimited dining package plan) and dined mostly at specialty restaurants and attended main / headliner production shows.

Day 1 Back to Back Check in

There was a little line but once you are checked in you are seated at the theater.  There are refreshments at the back and the crew comes around to check your documents.  Much easier process as they have most of the information on their system already!  250 guests doing the B2B. Finis Henderson (headliner) and his son is also here for the B2B process.

Day 1

The TV is on to keep us entertained!  This is my first time doing a B2B and I thought the process was very smooth.  You get a letter in your room by day 5 with testing information.  You pack everything up if you are moving and tell your room steward your new room number and they move your luggage.  They hand you your new key when you check in at the check in location.  Now we just have to wait for our parade to dry land and then back.

Day 1

We will be having lunch at the MDR on deck 3 for the back to backers so we don’t have to go to the  Windjammers for lunch.  I was surprised because I thought I had read that they stopped the lunch at MDR on another thread but for my B2B it’s MDR!  Nothing but the very best for the back 2 backers!

Probably thought after all the good food you had last week you wouldn't be able to find the Windjammer anyway for lunch today.

You don't have the beverage package? Are you C&A Diamond with drink vouchers?

I heard two people had positive Covid tests from the B2B testing.

Wonder if they have done any contact tracing? would suck if you were near these passengers during the testing procedures.

Really would suck to get a phone call a day or 2 from now and have to quarantine for 5 days.

I go with the flow.  I can’t wait to try all the different things on the menu!

Welcome aboard!  I just finished the immigration parade and back on the ship now!  They must be the two Covid cases we had onboard that the captain announced yesterday.  The number of passengers expected today has been bumped up to 3700!  Uptick!  Yay!

I have been very very very careful with masks and staying away from people because of the B2B.

We goofed off at the Casino on the last cruise and are now newly minted Casino Prime members!  One of the benefit is you can drink at the casino bars for free when they are open!  Yay Value cruise lol or should I say prepaid cruise!  I guess we just prepaid for next years cruise and another cruise certificate based on the points we earned last week in a balcony room plus some free play money due to the “generous” promotion the casino is running as I was told.  It was not as difficult/costly as we thought it would be and of course YMMV.
