Well  to be honest...  things are changing in all sorts of directions...  like the stock market, daily.     Pretty hard to be on top of everything

As far as Tahiti...  remember it has 2 difficult hurdled     1.  its French  and 2  its Polynesia   ( mix of Amnesia and Narcolepsy with good beaches)

Why do you think O has not updated their travel and entry requirements on the website to include March 2022 French Polynesia cruises?  They also still show the majority of cabins as "waitlisted".

That only refers to the February cruises so none of the March cruises on any ship is listed on there.

What Oceania should do, however, is send a revised letter from the one they sent me at the end of January that explains the new testing requirements in FP which went into effect last week.  A PCR test is no longer required. An antigen test will be enough.  If someone isn't monitoring it themselves, they wouldn't know. The only recent emails I've gotten from O lately is that it's time for check-in.

It seems O is always 1-2 weeks lateen putting updated info on their web site under travel and entry requirements. And they definitely don't put anything for any cruises more than a month out. It is very hard to plan ahead for a cruise within 2-3 months.

With the current ever changing world requirements, why would O put out anything for cruises more than a month away......if they did and then had to change it, people would be screaming foul that O promised this and then changed to that!  Not the cruise I signed up for........ it is quite easy to go to the port and/or country website and see what their current requirements to make plans.

Because this information has an impact on whether or not to make final payment, cancel, make flight arrangements, or even book a cruise. If O has a competent IT department information should be updated daily as it changes. Other cruise lines seem to be able to keep up.

But, if requirements change, wouldn't you be making those decisions based on bad information?  Even for Oceania, the rules and regulation are confusing, so, IMHO, no information is better than bad information.  And we live in a time when we have to make decisions without the full picture...it's a matter of risk assessment...both on what may happen and one's own tolerance for uncertainty.

No guarantee that it won't change after final payment so if you cannot go with the flow then cancel and move on.....
