Sailing out of Vancouver, Canada

I am sailing out of Vancouver on 8/6/22 on the Koningsdam.  The cruise schedule states that there are two ships departing that day.  The Koningsdam is at the West Berth, and the Royal Princess is at the east berth.  This, IMHO, would not be that busy of a day.  We are staying at the Hilton in downtown Vancouver.  I've read that Lyft and Uber are not available in BC.  How difficult is it to get a taxi  in downtown Vancouver?

We are in a Neptune Suite. What is the boarding experience like at Canada place?  Anything I should be aware of?

We have passports and will make sure to have evidence of vaccination and negative test results in the arrive Canada app.

Thank you.

We are staying at the Victorian Hotel on Homer St. for 2 nights before the cruise. We didn’t want to spend a fortune on a place just to lay our heads. It got good reviews, seems to be in a good location and is reasonable. We’ve been told we can walk to the port. But then someone else said they wouldn’t want to walk there with luggage. So I guess we’ll see!! Lol. One note:  they do have shared bathrooms, so might not be ok for some,  but that’s fine with us.

Lyft and Uber are now both available in Vancouver.

X2. COVID and share bathroom with total strangers don't mix well together.

Perhaps you’re right!! Here’s praying that the CoVid situation gets better by then!
But in the meantime, I am using public bathrooms everywhere and remain conscientious and prudent regarding safety protocols

That's a great looking boutique hotel. The shared bathroom rooms are not our cup of tea but the regular rooms are look really nice and much cheaper than the Sutton Place where we usually stay and other downtown hotels. I think you have discovered a gem here! Do you want to be my TA? 😉
