We are going on our first cruise and gave up a balcony room for a GTY Deluxe Suite. Does anyone know what we may end up with? The anticipation is killing me!

Want to let you know the specific Cruise Critic Roll Call thread for your line, ship and sail date will be the place for you to get to know the other Cruise Critic members sailing with you before your cruise. Your fellow Roll Call thread members may have important information posted in your Roll Call thread. Especially those that have sailed your line, ship or itinerary before.

 

Per the Guidelines, the specific Roll Call thread for your cruise is the only place on the Cruise Critic message boards where you and your fellow Roll Call thread members are allowed to post personal ads about sharing private tours, excursions, transportation etc. with each other to 💲ave money. That is ... if COVID-19 protocol allows by then. There is a "captive audience" on your Roll Call thread since you are all sailing together!  You will receive a much better response to your share request if you take some time to read the entire Roll Call thread, post an introductory post about yourself, and continue on with more posts back and forth to get to know the other Roll Call thread members and allow them to get to know you first before you post your share request. Assuming you are talking about a WS GTY, you'll likely end up in JS.

I booked a GTY deluxe stateroom for our Navigator of the Seas early April 4 day cruise and we were assigned a Junior Suite. This tends to be the default 99 times out of 100. Basically, it’s a GTY JS with an extremely odd off chance to score a higher grade suite.

Note Junior Suites get almost none of the higher grade suite benefits.

Junior Suite Benefits:

• Dinner at Coastal Kitchen, based upon availability*.
• Royal Caribbean Plush Bathrobes for Use Onboard
• Luxury Pillow Top Mattress
• Luxury Bathroom Amenities
• Lavazza Espresso Coffee Machine

*Please note, reservations are required for dinner at Coastal Kitchen (upon availability). Beverages are not included.

 

Dedicated check-in line and priority boarding also but not priority departure.

When is your cruise?  If it is soon enough that you have checked in already, sometimes the likely future cabin number (even if not officially assigned) is coded in the set sail pass.  People with iPhones put the set sail pass in their apple wallet to see if there is a number after the dash.  Some without iPhones have reported success with barcode reader apps.
