Access from the pier to the airport will be disrupted until 10 am.

 

Please be certain that your departing flights are not before noon.

I'd love to know also. Our last Carnival ship had 742 - it was heaven! (maybe not for the crew...)

Thanks for the heads-up David.  This is one of the most disruptive events that takes place in San Diego.  Totally irresponsible to route a race past the airport and port on Harbor.

I agree!  At least they did not do it on April 3 when 3 ships arrive!  Would not be happy if I was arriving on race day and had scheduled an early flight!

We are  boarding that day, after one night in a Comfort Inn on the other side of the airport, so thank you for the information.  We will plan accordingly!

I'm also boarding that day.  But I'll be staying at Wyndham so, presumably, won't be affecting me? But THANKS for the heads-up!

I’ve done this half marathon once before, and inbound traffic to the airport is not impeded. Also, for outbound traffic, only one or two lanes are closed off; it’s not the entire street. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the situation by the port as I don’t recall any ships being in port that year.

Us too, and also staying at the Wyndham! Look out for two jetlagged and confused Brits...

Hello 🙂. I was beginning to think I was going to be the only passenger from our side of the Pond on this cruise, haven't seen any others on the roll call or mentioned anywhere else.
