Packing has begun!!  I will be cruising with my husband Brian, my teenage boys Parker and Chase and Parker’s friend Aidan.  Working on packing myself and my boys at this point, because I am that helicopter Mom.  Our Covid tests are tomorrow through the telehealth option listed on the cruise website, with me planning to be the first one in the morning and everyone else in the afternoon after school.  We will have 2 sky suites and look forward to visiting the retreat lounge and deck often (and the martini bar for a Lycheetini).   Love the swings over the retreat deck pool.  Brian and I and Chase cruised the Celebrity Edge on the first cruise from the US in June 2021 and look forward to sailing on the Edge again.  Stunning Ship!!!  For now I will continue packing and blasting the Jimmy Buffett music.  Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them.  Love this cruise community!! Cruising soon!!  Cameron

We'll be on board with you.  Test tomorrow as well.  Driving up to LAX from San Diego tomorrow after work.  Overnight flight and spending the day in South Florida.  I'll be watching your live feed.  Just finished a "Live from Odyssey" back in January so I know its a lot of work. 🙂

We have arrived in Fort Lauderdale and it feels like it has been a long day of traveling.  Drove through snow showers this morning on our way to the airport and our plane had to be de-iced before takeoff, but both flights were on time without any problems.  Finally settled in our rooms at the Embassy Suites and ordered some really good pizza.  Feeling sleepy and ready for bed, which means the morning should come sooner!!
😴 Can’t wait to board the Edge tomorrow!!

Mcclarke Husband here.  1,400 onboard so <50% occupancy.  Dining lineup for the week:

1. Fine Cut Steakhouse

2. Luminae

3. Veuve Clicquot Dinner
4. Eden

5. Le Petit Chef

6. Chef’s Table

7. Luminae

Should be a good mix of one’s we’ve done before and new try’s.

Cheers!

Happy to be on board the Celebrity Edge!!  Started off with breakfast at the Embassy Suites that I would rather not repeat in the future. Boarded early and went straight to the retreat lounge to book some events that I knew were a “must-do” for us.  So excited we were able to book the Chef’s Table and Veuve Clicquot Dinner.  After that, we headed to Luminae for lunch and ordered Veuve Clicquot by the glass with my Shrimp Tagliatelle.  Parker ordered Lobster Bisque to try to eat light before dinner at Fine Cut and the rest of our group ordered the Luminae burger.  Next up, a tour of the decks, then back to the our Sky suite to complete our safety drills.  Sail away was as awesome as always. Dinner at Fine Cut later tonight.  Time for a Lycheetini!!🍸

Curious about your comment on breakfast at Embassy Suites.  Didn't sound real promising.   Is it still limited or have the resumed Eggs Cooked to Order.

Will be staying there in about a week.

When we were there at the beginning of February, they had resumed the Eggs Cooked to Order.  The lines were very long and the overall selection was very limited.  Everything is served on Styrofoam plates and plastic silverware.  I wouldn't necessarily rush down to breakfast unless you need to eat something in the morning.

It was very crowded and not self serve, even drinks.  Not sure where lines began to get food and the servers were not always around as they has tasks in the kitchen too.

I see it hasn't improved at all in the past six weeks...  We were not impressed.  Of course, there were at least three large cruise ships embarking from Port Everglades that day and there were a LOT of passengers staying at the Embassy Suites.  The lobby area was a zoo at 10:30 AM when they were loading up the hotel shuttles to the port.  It might be better with less ships.

My first Lycheetini on board was yummy!!  We had dinner at Fine Cut and ordered a lot.  Created a few surf and turf setups with a new york strip filet and a couple of lobster tails.  All was really great.  Ordered some Gruyère tater tots and Parmesan truffle fries of course because we do have 3 teenagers with us.  They each also sipped on a couple of virgin mango daiquiris.  We enjoyed our meal so much, I forgot to take photos.  We did get photos of the desserts.  Loved my apple walnut cobbler.  Everyone else ordered the dark chocolate brownie and said it was great.  After dinner the 18 year olds went to the casino for the first time to watch and learn, then headed to the Daniel Blanchard comedian show with the 15 year old. (Boys enjoyed and now want to see the non PG version.🤦🏻‍♀️Brian and I went to sleep watching movies and were woken up by the teenagers to help them complete their breakfast room service form after the show.  We have a snorkel excursion in Nassau today that I will post about later.  Enjoy!!
