Rare uktog Posted April 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2022 (edited) Just an update. The WorldTrade pier is closed for renovations so Azamara is out in the big port for the next period (they didn’t define how long). As I’ve posted on the currently onboard thread the authorities are not allowing any late disembarkation. They have also suspended all baggage storage at the pier so if you have a later flight you’ve got some challenges! excitedofharpenden Posted April 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Thanks for the update. The May 2022 calendar is now up on the Port of Barcelona website and it seems to indicate that things will be slowly opening up at the WTC pier and both Quest and Pursuit will leave from there that month. Rare oddjob16 Posted April 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Good to hear. I feared that they were choosing the outer piers to save some nickels in port fees.

Baynanno1 Posted April 9, 2022 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2022 Last time we docked in Barcelona (late 2019) we were located in the outer dock . . . and not because the WTC dock area was full, far from it, only one ship there throughout the day! Same B2B2B during which we were shoved to the opposite side of the harbour in Valletta without notice.

But my (prior) experiences have been that Azamara usually got the 'best' parking space – and Oceania got the 'worst.'

Yes it was still under Royal Carribbean and those two scenarios were a shock to the system, quite unlike our experience of prime docking spaces spread over 30 Azamara cruises.
