No it's only for onboard. I agree, it would be nice to use it to book excursions or dinners early but not allowed.

I’d love to know how they prioritize these requests.  I sent mine in on April 22 and received a reply on Tuesday that it was applied.  My cruise is before yours.  Not asking you it just doesn’t make a ton of sense.  Definitely bring your paperwork.

I sent requests in on Monday to both Seabourn and Holland America for trips next month. I received an automatic reply from Holland saying they have my request. I did not receive such an automated reply from Seaborn but yesterday Seabourn sent an email that the credit had been applied to my cruise.

I made a request April 29 and received a reply saying it was applied on May 5th....FWIW

I think it depends on the person who answer. 

 

I ve got "just" an email, same for my brother. Friend, who travel with us received a complete attached statement on a Holland America form..

Mine must get answered by the person that works 2 hours a week.  At least mine is done but I’d hate to be in a hurry and try to get it.

Emailed mine in too close, I thought, to departure but it was approved in 10 days. Yay, HAL.

I sent in my request by email on April 26th and received an email confirmation on May 3rd. This was for an August cruise.
