NCL does allow children "alone" in connected or adjoining staterooms according to website

There seems to be some misconseption out there (also among PCC's at NCL) about that if a family with children are booked in two adjoining or connected staterooms, then one adult must be listed for each room. According to NCL's own webpage this is not correct, as it clearly states the following:

Norwegian Cruise Line's policy dictates that a minor or young adult under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom (or a connecting/adjoining stateroom) by a guest 21 years of age or older at the time of boarding.

Too bad they don’t follow there own policy.

The problem is that you will see different things on different parts of the NCL site.

The Guest Ticket Contract (04/21) has...LINK

(c) Guests under 21: Any Guest under 21 years of age is considered a minor. Any Guest under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same, connecting, or side by side stateroom by a Guest 21 years of age or older at the time of embarkation who expressly agrees to be responsible for the under-21 Guest throughout the cruise.

The Additional Terms and Conditions has...LINK

A passenger under 18 years of age must be accompanied in the same or connecting stateroom by a passenger 21 years or older who expressly agrees to be responsible for the under 18 passenger throughout the cruise.

The 3rd (most restrictive) states that someone 21 or older must be booked into the stateroom and that it doesn't matter who is connecting or side by side (mjkacmom's example)...

We are a family of 7, I’ve tried to book the kids in one cabin and us in a connecting cabin (plus 1 kid) every single time, NCL has refused. On our last cruise, the oldest were 19 and 20, we had connecting cabins, we wanted the UBP but since they insisted on making us book in separate cabins the 2nd passenger on the UBP got a soda package.

...but I haven't seen that one lately. It used to state...

"Norwegian Cruise Lines policy dictates that a minor or young adult under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a guest 21 years of age or older at the time of boarding."

Until things are consistent, this topic will continue to have conflicting answers and conflicting personal experiences.
