booked return air from Princess what if I ditch the flight?

The return air would be a back up plan in case i would miss an earlier direct flight home. The Princess air is so cheap I feel I have nothing to loose are there any consequences for no show.

Exactly - there is nothing to lose if you cancel out of the return leg (final leg of a booking).  But, it would be nice to contact the airline and tell them you aren't showing as they will realize ahead of time that seats are available for stand-bys or last minute sales.  Just don't cancel it until you have arrived at destination for the outbound trip.
