Thanks again so much for your great review! Would you mind telling those of us who are going on a b2b what you had to do? Where did they make you go and wait? Was there anything special or any procedures you needed to follow? Thanks!

Excellent! I saw it was your turn around day and was hoping I could (maybe) get it included if you hadn’t already finished! 😁

Here is the B2B information that we received the other day…….

IMG_3014-X2.jpg

We have the same cabin for the next leg as well. When we book B2B cruises we make that a requirement. We do book way in advance, so that is never an issue for us.

Around 8am Patti and I head up to the Marketplace for breakfast. Afterwards, we head down to the Flamingo Restaurant where all the B2B’ers are to meet. On the way, Patti gets these shots of our old fellow passengers leaving the ship. Have a safe trip home!

Once at the Flamingo Restaurant, we check in and receive our new Sail & Sign cards. We sit with our friends John and Gerry (Chipster2). There are 140 people doing a B2B today. Coffee, tea, juice, and water are available while we wait for the ship to clear…..

Around 9:30am we were led off the ship, through the terminal, and down to customs. We did the facial recognition thing, and were immediately led back on to the ship. That whole thing took about 15 minutes. Once back on we had the ship to ourselves for about an hour.

There was no group picture. We were given a voucher for a free B2B picture which would be taken at the Fiat by Cucina later this evening. We were not served mimosas when we re-boarded, but instead we were each given a drink coupon that could be used anywhere. Now that we are back on board here are today’s “Fun Times”……

Around 11am they started letting our new fellow passengers on the ship…….

Patti and I went to our muster station in the casino and got that out of the way. I went up to the Red Frog Tiki Bar with John and Gerry, while Patti wanted to get some pictures of some venues she hadn’t gotten to yet. She made her way down to Deck 4 to check out the Family Harbor Lounge…..

Did I miss the part when you did the b2b Covid test?

or did that not happen with this b2b sailing?

We were not required to do a B2B Covid test. Since the beginning of April the ships doctor determines whether or not to test. I forgot to mention that in the review. Thanks for the reminder. 😎

I feel like that Ocean Cabana is a waste of money. Why would you spend that money to look at yucky water?

It probably depends on when you're there. I have pictures of that water blue. Kind of like Tulum. All of the pictures you see it's a beautiful beach and blue water. I went there last June. The water was brown and the beach was full of seaweed.

Amazing. Someone just asked about ironing boards. It's like you're on the ship answering questions live but you're not on the ship.

Patti doesn't miss anything. I just had to flip through the pictures. 😁

It's a little sad to see all of those nice pictures of the Freedom, knowing what she looks like now. 😞

Yes, but they'll have her fixed up in no time. We'll be on her in January. We'll see her one more time in the next segment. 😎

I just saw on our local news a family who was on Freedom during the fire. They’re upset because they had plans to visit WDW after the cruise, they had to cancel their trip and think Carnival should reimburse them $4k for the missed Disney visit, hotel and rental car that they didn’t get to use.  It’s so maddening.

I’m enjoying your review.

We had the same view from our balcony.   I couldn’t figure out what this place was.

Is it a bar, a restaurant, or what?   It looks so peaceful at night.

From the deck plans it looks like outside seating for Bonsai Sushi. Never saw anyone out there. :classic_cool:

Patti catches me with John and Gerry at the Red Frog Tiki Bar, and then continues with her photo tour…….

IMG_3089-X2.jpg

Not long after this picture was taken, a gentleman came up to me at the Tiki Bar and introduced himself as Bob as in jedi bobs, a member of Cruise Critic. He just wanted to say hello and thank us for the reviews that we do. He asked where Patti was, and of course I told him that she was around somewhere taking pictures. He was excited to meet her as he told me that he learned to say Patti in sign language. I told him that Patti doesn’t sign, but instead reads lips. He then left to go search for her. I thought that it was so cool and thoughtful for him to do something like that in anticipation of meeting us. We did meet Bob and his wife Ann several times during this cruise. Great people!

Patti has found some loungers in the shade if you want to limit your exposure in the sun…..
