Hamilton on Saturday?

Our itinerary changed and we now dock on Saturday at 10AM.

 

Thinking of going into Hamilton.  Is it worth the trip on a Saturday?

Sure, if you want to have lunch in one of the restaurants or go shopping.

We like lunch at the Hog Penny on Burnaby St. just off Front St. and we often pick up an item or two of Bermudian clothing at the English Sports Shop on Front St.

Shops, restaurants, museums and parks are open on Saturday.in Hamilton. The only thing you won't see is business people wearing blazers, shorts and knee high socks. Looks like the first ferry you can make departs at 11:15.

If you want to shop, our only hope of getting to Hamilton is Saturday or early Monday.   Sunday is mostly closed.  However, when cruise ships are in on Sunday, some stores will open.  There will be 3 ships in on Sunday that we are there. 
ferry Dockyard to Hamilton  is quick.   If this is your first trip to Bermuda, go to Hamilton.  Sunday would be a good day for beaches, museums, sailing, fishing, etc.  hope for sunshine.  Looking forward to the cruise.
