Cruise Capacity

Is it possible to find out how many people are scheduled to be on any specific cruise?

The would be occupancy, not capacity (the ship was built to a specified capacity). Occupancy varies by ship and cruise. HAL still is setting aside quarantine cabins...probably around 60 or so.

 

There have been a couple of irregular sources. More likely you will find out when you board.

Recent Cruise Critic article said that cruise lines are moving back to full occupancy.  So the days of reduced passenger occupancy are over or coming to an end apparently.

To a certain degree. But there are staffing shortages that have come to light this week that is leading to cutbacks in events and capacity. Go on to You Tube and search out cruise bloggers.

We were on the Koningsdam May 7-14.  The Captain said we were at 70% capacity as the staff was at 75% capacity.

This has worked for us.....Fellow cruisers ask the staff and report back.....And the staff seems to know what's up for "next cruise".

On the Eurodam May-14-21 we were told there were 1479 passengers with a ship capacity of 2104.  Nothing seemed crowded.  Staffing seemed fine. Not aware of any Covid cases.

On the Koningsdam May 14. - 21, we had 1188 passengers (double capacity is 2600) and 900 crew.  Best service ever!  We won’t expect those low numbers for our next cruise.
