Of course we still need to test prior to boarding the ship but otherwise no more testing correct? I dont see how people could still end up "quarantined cabins" if thats the case?

Very simply people can still end up in quarantine if they become ill, are tested for COVID by the medical center, and produce a positive test result.

Here's from NBC news

If we are lucky the cruise lines will get with the program and end precruise testing as it does not prevent covid from coming aboard ships.

The cruise lines are unlikely to change until the CDC eliminates its "voluntary" guidelines requiring testing for boarding a cruise. The cruise lines all accepted the "voluntary" guidelines because they did not want to risk the potential negative publicity consequences of not complying. I think a substantial percentage of the public subscribes to the "cruise ship as COVID petri dish" belief and if there were a major outbreak on a ship not in compliance with the CDC guidelines it would have a serious negative effect on bookings on that cruise line.

If this becomes the norm for air travel, then it would seem to be possible for cruising. Right?

Being  vaccinated would be sufficient for boarding the ship and between b2b voyages… a lot of positive possibilities here.

4 shots, still really sick. Hmmm

*No* vaccine for *any* disease provides 100% immuniry.

Covid vaccines are intended to reduce the numbers of severe illness and death.

What may have been "really sick" following four shots may have been "dead" without them.

...the statement that “without the 4 shots would result in death” - is really just an opinion. Not a fact. Which goes against their forum policy. No opinions on covid or vaccinations.

Misquoted: "What may have been 'really sick' following four shots may have been 'dead' without them" -.illustrating facts: "No* vaccine for *any* disease provides 100% immuniry" and "Covid  vaccines are intended to reduce the numbers of severe illness and death"

As of June 6, 2022, Cunard requires both testing and vaccination for all guests age 16 years and older

How is this different from Oceania's policy? You have to be vaccinated and tested before boarding any O ship.

I believe she indicated that she was looking for a cruise line that did not require someone to be vaccinated and was going on Cunard.....all of her posts have disappeared now
