doppelganger2621 Posted June 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2022 So we were given luggage tags with obviously an assigned time to depart the ship (i.e not given a choice to self-disembark). If we want to do that, do we just…leave when the self disembarkation process begins in the morning? I wasn’t sure if we needed to notify anyone of our intent. flamingos Posted June 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2022 Nope, just go. If you want to tell your room steward so s/he knows the room will be empty, that would be nice.
firefly333 Posted June 25, 2022 #3 Share Posted June 25, 2022 They always leave a scan to plan thing on my bed where you can tell them you wanted to walk off.

Go have breakfast. Back to the state room. Wife gets purse out of the safe and we leave. No need to notify anyone at all.

I usually leave the stateroom door open when we are definitely gone.
Lane Hog Posted June 26, 2022 #6 Share Posted June 26, 2022 Leaving the door open is a fire hazard. You get scanned as off the ship when you walk off, so Housekeeping knows which rooms are already vacant.

If you want to self assist, just keep your bags and walk off in the morning. For a while after restart, they required you to reserve a disembarkation time to minimize crowding and maximize social distancing. Not any more.
