Rare Jeter02 Posted July 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2022 One amazing and cool NEW feature that I noticed on my Majestic cruise that I just came off with the addition of sensored night lights. When the room was dark at night, if you walked by the closet area a sensored light would go on. Also underneath the nightstands and the stand where the refrigerator is, once you would step out of bed it would light up underneath. I thought this is absolutely amazing! Was curious to know has anyone else noticed this on any of the other princess ships in the fleet.
Rare LACruiser88 Posted July 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) There has been lots of posts about these lights on many threads. Personally, we find them extremely annoying and disable them with black electrical tape. Edited July 2, 2022 by LACruiser88
time4u2go Posted July 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2022 (edited) I found the light near the closet to be WAY too bright. Also it would be nice if they had a sign explaining that the lights were on motion detectors. I spent a few minutes looking for a switch for the one by the closet. Coffeehound510 Posted July 2, 2022 #6 Share Posted July 2, 2022 We had them on the Ruby. Underneath the night stands and in the closet area. We blocked the ones under the night stands with the throw pillows. We tried to deal with the one in the closet but it was just too bright. We had to ask Stewart to block it. If there had been a dimmer option it would have worked better for us. I appreciated the idea behind it, but wasn't a fan.

That's what I do too and I use a bandaid or two to cover the closet light sensor.

Moondogy Posted July 2, 2022 #9 Share Posted July 2, 2022 We have always carried a couple of battery powered tea lights to put in the bathroom so we could find our way. Guess I'll have to find a way to block them. I'm old and get up 2 to 3 times a night and don't want to wake the DW 🤣
