Is testing still required between cruises for B2B passengers?

We’re on a B2B on the Summit in August and were wondering if they are still requiring B2B passengers to take an antigen test prior to continuing on to the next leg? Our two 12 day B2B cruises are from NJ to Iceland and then from Iceland back to Boston if that makes a difference. If so and someone tests positive, what happens then? Do they escort you off the ship or as an option do they let you quarantine on the ship on the 2nd leg of the cruise?

According to the website, they still are.

Back-to-Back Cruises

Guests sailing on back-to-back cruises must show proof of vaccination and are required to take a COVID-19 test producing negative results between each sailing. Guests who are not fully vaccinated or are not eligible to be vaccinated, are not able to sail on back-to back-cruises.

We have a Summit B2B in Oct and have been told that the negative COVID test for the second cruise is provided by Celebrity onboard during the end of the first cruise.

As has been noted by other CC members, if you test positive then, you cannot continue on the second cruise (no option to just quarantine onboard the second) and are escorted off the ship at the first cruise's disembarkation port.

Ken -   I'm also on the same cruises and none of know yet whether there will be B2B testing.  There have been a number of posts in the past two weeks on B2B testing.   Most are reporting from Europe and Carribben that they have had to do B2B testing.   @Northern Aurora reported that on Equinox last week they were not required to do B2B testing.

Unfortunately there are some uninformed responses in the thread and I suggest you do your own research.   Especially

These protocols have been changed at least 3 times in the past couple of month so what you read last month many no longer be current.    They current policy is in-consistent and out of date.   They often say that the policy only applies to cruises from the US prior to June 30 but is included in the latest update as of

At least those who have been 'contact traced' but test negative appear to be being allowed to remain for the 2nd/3rd/etc legs.  That didn't used to be the case.  Might be some here who were in that situation who can continue to confirm this.

That would be positive.    When I tested positive the contact tracing was pretty much a farce.  The only thing they ask me if we were traveling with others.  Nothing about where i had been and with who.

It was the same with me when I tested positive on 2nd to last day of the APEX TA. We went on 3 Celebrity excursions. On each bus they passed around a paper with a mapping of seats. You had to put your name/cabin # in the box for your seat. We thought it was for contract tracing......but guess not....as I found out "after quarantine" that a couple we sat across from on an excursion a couple of days before I tested positive both had covid and quarantined, like I did, on the next cruise. We were also in contact with some who we dined next to in Luminae and they were said they weren't contacted either. They also didn't do b2b testing between the TA and the following British Isles cruise,

Thanks everyone for your insights. We’re currently on a Regal Princess B3B in the Med. So it will be interesting to see how these two cruise lines deal with B2B testing now and in the near future.
