Only water I would drink on a cruise ship would either come from Windjammer, or at Dinner and that would be free. No idea why people buy bottle water on a cruise ship? My 12 yo daughter and we (dh and I) drink almost exclusively water, except for morning coffee (not dd). I can't constantly find cups of water everywhere, and you're not "supposed to" refill any personal bottles at any fountain (legitimately full of germs from people touching their mouth-touched bottles to the spout). Why do people buy water? Because we rarely drink soda and never drink alcohol.

poocher Posted July 16, 2022 #56 Share Posted July 16, 2022 I agree. Lighten up! Many of the drinks on your (extensive!) list are non alcoholic which is why I made the bathroom comment 😁. I mean it’s also more alcohol than I could consume but I’m turning into something of a lightweight.

You are correct If he had bothered to really look at the data he may have realized not much alcohol over 24hr periods Cococay and Labadee being the exceptions, because well when in the Caribbean enjoy yourself. Something I don’t think Debbie downer can comprehend. But Jim is an expert on all RC, but has not been on a cruise since restart. I think it might take more than 1 week of drinking for all those symptoms to kick in. With the exception of the swelling of the tummy.😉 Breaking it down by per person, they average 5-8 drinks per day with Cococay being a bit higher. Spread that out for an entire day - 2 drinks at lunch, 2 more in the afternoon, 2 at dinner and 2 at whatever nighttime activity - and you've had 8 drinks and nary a buzz. If anything, sleepiness might kick in. So I guess that's 2 symptoms That's pretty much how the minimum for my vacations & when I go home, I have no problems not touching alcohol for 2 or 3 weeks. That evens things out, right? Edited July 17, 2022 by HBE4
