CRUIS4ME Posted July 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2022 I have always used dollars/cash in the casino slots, etc. On Odyssey out of Rome and question came up bout using Euros in the casino vs bank card vs charge to stateroom and then pay at the end of the cruise with your credit card. Perhaps someone with casino experience can enlighten. If taking cash for casino, take dollars As Euro cash won’t work in slots? If taking Euros, customer service can change into dollars but at what exchange rate? And if charging casino play to room, will credit card bill reflect a cash withdrawal vs regular charge? Sunshine3601 Posted July 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2022 USD in casino. Slot machines not set up for any other type of currency, except maybe ships sailing out of Asia countries. Either guest services or possibly casino cashier can convert but conversion rate is usually much higher onboard. If you use your seapass for cash at cashier they may charge you 5% fee unless you are a club royale prime or higher member. I think you can use your seapass at slot machines and avoid the 5% fee. Sunshine3601 Posted July 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2022 No it will not show up as cash advance on your credit card. Just shows up as total charge for onboard purchases with Royal Caribbean on credit card.

Ashland Posted July 14, 2022 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2022 I believe onboard RCI ships all is USD...regardless of sailing itinerary...it was even on our Asia itineraries.
