No beaches within walking distance other than small beaches at El Cid and Park Royal where you can also snorkel and need a day pass. Next door Del Mar has snorkeling but no beach and adult only, AI. Further towards town Sunset Beach (no beach), possibly Blue Angel, No Name Bar (no beach, 2 and half miles). Nearest south would be Money Bar (no beach, taxi required). Rare mitsugirly Posted August 7, 2022 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2022 As leg said, if you want to snorkel you'll probably have to catch a cab and go someplace. We really liked Sky Reef. It was a "different" type of snorkeling for us and it is LOADED with beautiful different colored sea fans. It was simply amazing. You can check out my review HERE with tons of pictures if you are interested.
richbum Posted August 9, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2022 You can take a taxi (inexpensive) to a lot of great beaches. We went to Paradise Beach and loved it.
JohninDC Posted August 12, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2022 Money Bar is another option for good snorkeling from the shore - taxi will run about $12 each way and there is no admission fee. They offer rental gear if needed as well good food and drinks.
