Enchantment of the Seas- 5 night Bermuda

Recommended Posts

It's been a few years since we've cruised and are booked on an upcoming 5 night to Bermuda and I was wondering if anyone could provide information about which night is the "formal night" are there any theme nights? (If so, what are they)

In the dining room are nice dressy short and polos ok for my teenage boys, or does everyone wear pants/ suits?

Any copies of the itineraries or advice on fun things to do are much appreciated, Thanks!

Is your first full day aboard a sea day?  That would probably be a formal night.

On any night there will be a variety of styles of attire.

The only theme party we've seen so far is the 70s party; hardly anyone dresses to the theme.  A white night deck party has been mentioned.

We just did the 6 night and have done the 5 night.  First full sea day is formal.  So, day 2.

@BND How was the 6 night?  We have one coming up in a couple weeks.

We had a great time.  Two nights in Bermuda.  They are still a bit understaffed so expect slow service in the MDR.  Production show was cancelled due to positive cases in the cast (we've seen Can't Stop the Rock several times so no biggie). But, there was a comedian and a juggler and a couple of the singers did performances with the orchestra to fill in for the show.  Weather in Bermuda was warm and humid but no rain.  Seas were pretty calm for all but a few hours our last sea day.  We had some rain on each sea day.  No complaints from us.

BND.   Did they have lobster in the MDR on formal night?

No. Lobster is not served on cruises with only one formal night, so not on ones under 7 nights.   It's always served on the second formal night when there is one.

@BND Was the Oasis bar open?  Also, how was boarding this time?  Same/better/worse than your previous sailing?  TIA.

Oasis bar was not open.  Boarding for us was fine.  We had 10 am, but we were in a JS so we could use the suite/pinn/key line. We got in that line at just about 955, they opened the door for us at about 1005 (opened the other door about 5 min later).  We waited maybe 3 minutes for a person to check us in after we got past the first check and security.  We were onboard at 1030.  Our previous sailing in April, we also were in a JS and had an 11 am check in but we were onboard by 1120.  Regular line was taking longer.  Some complained about long waits for parking.  We were about 3 cars back to pay to park so that went quickly.  They are short staffed and that is the issue that it took longer for others.

@BNDWere masks required in the Baltimore terminal?  Thank you for all your feedback on this thread!

Nope.  Baltimore dropped the requirement back in April.   Only time we wore them was the very short walk inside the very small Bermuda terminal (required).  We've had a few positive cases pop up on our FB roll call, but we're fine.  Even in the shops in Bermuda, we never saw a requirement and in fact most employees in shops and restaurants were not wearing them either.
