Sky glider at Icey point

Has anyone done this recently?  I’m not finding a lot of information about purchasing tickets in advance online or how about getting more information 

Leaving for Alaska next week- any help appreciated

When you walk in the adventure center they have a desk where you can book your unlimited Sky Glider pass for $50/day or other last minute excursions

Just an FYI that may or may not be true for your cruise:

 

I was on the Celebrity Millennium a few weeks ago and we stopped at Icy Strait.

 

The Sky Glider Pass was offered as an excursion through the excursion desk.  It was the same price on the ship as at the desk on shore.

 

Same thing was true of the zip line tickets and other excursions.

When I was at the Adventure Center, ziplines were all sold out.   Suggest getting your tickets ahead of time, if that's what you want to do.

 

Fortunately for me, it wasn't.

What is the difference between the zip line and the sky rider?

For our upcoming stop, Celebrity had a sale on the Gondola!  Look at your ship's excursion page.  You get unlimited rides on the Gondola with purchase.  I read you can see Glacier Bay.

The "unlimited rides" I didn't think was of much value.  There wasn't that much up top, unless you were ziplining/skyrider (same thing there).  Neither of us had any desire to do it again after we did it once.  We wouldn't have paid $50 to do it once, either.

I think when we last visited, it was under construction. My DW swears we rode it, however I don't remember it and my mother who was with us says we didnt.

No need to book the SkyGlider in advance. The gondolas go around and around all day long so there’s no limit on capacity.

 

Zip Line is a different story.

I was just there! There is the free green gondola that takes you to the little shopping area, and there is the paid red gondola that takes you WAY up. We booked this through carnival and did a short excursion once up top.

Probably.   You'd really have to know your geography to know that was what you were looking at, though.

Got it.  I have OBC to use, that is why I purchased it for a reduced price.  I thought it did seem pricey.  Probably cost a lot to build.  Just the logistics of getting materials there.
