What's good about the Spirit

Love the Spirit as well as her sister ships! The layout is so much better to navigate than the larger ships! Deck 2 is the promenade deck. You can literally leave the aft dining room and go to the front of the ship without any elevators! So convenient!

Spirit used to sail out of San Diego so I Sailed on her 4x and will be on Spirit once again this coming Wednesday, the ship is the right size with the right number of passengers, nice decor and very easy to navigate around the ship.

They are the only ones that now have an Art class where you get to oil paint on a canvas, also theres another class where you can color on Tiles.  I've only seen this on youtube but will try it out, I heard its first come first serve so you have to be there before it opens to sign up.

The Spirit Class (Spirit, Pride, Legend, & Miracle) is by far the best class of ships in the fleet!  The perfect size, excellent passenger-to-public-space ratio, easy to find your way around with well-designed layout for traffic flow.  Plenty of windows in public spaces, so one always knows one is on a ship and not in a shopping mall.  And lots and lots of Balconies!😁

I found this area interesting, though unused. Jungle theme

This is our favorite place to go on the Spirit class ships when we just want a quiet place to relax or read.  As mentioned, you rarely see other passengers and the big windows are close to the water for a great view.

We love the Spirit (and its sister ships).  We were on the Spirit to Hawaii (so a fairly long trip) and it never felt crowded, no long lines (we were nervous with 5 days at sea at a time).  The main pool area has a retractable roof, so you don't lose out on using that space if you have a day of bad weather.

We enjoyed it so much we are currently booked on the 16 day Panama Canal itenerary on Spirit.  Although I love Mardi Gras and other newer ships, Spirit class has its own unique benefits.

The staff is amazing.  Our room steward Putu room 6234 was the best we have had in 20+ cruises.  The casino staff also stood out.  If you go, look up Richmond, he will bring a smile to your face.  He and the casino team were very kind and "patient" with someone learning some of the table games.

The only thing that we didn't like was that there was a staff smoking area just below our room on deck 4 and the smoke rose and was very bothersome on the balcony and came into our room.  We came back from an  excursion and our room smelled like a cigar.  Yuck!

We have Putu on this Spirit cruise also, so far I haven’t met him in person but when I called on day one he answered and gave us what we needed right away. I will probably see home tomorrow morning as I need to send a load of laundry out.

I was on Spirit in March, her second or third cruise after drydock as I recall.  Everything was in great condition and we even had table cloths in the dining room.

I too am a fan of the Spirit Class ships, not too big, not too small...... just right.

IMHO Spirit class ships are the best.

Adult pool actually IN the Serenity adult area

What seems to me is the largest venue for The Punchliner Comedy Club of all the ships I've been on (even though Spirit class has a lower total capacity than all but Fantasy class ships).

Unique funnel skylight location of the Steakhouse

And best of all more space to guest ratio of any Carnival class ( I think. Lol.)

Unrelated question, is there a Seafood Shack on the Spirit?. I've heard there is but have never seen it on any of the youtube ship tour videos

There is something similar.  It is not Seafood Shack but there was one section of the buffet that had a variety of for purchase seafood if you choose.

Just off the Carnival Spirit.  We loved going to Soul Play for the art classes! I wish they offered this on other ships, I would even pay to do such thing.
