22 nights.

We joked that mums wore out first because she used it so much at the casino.

Ā

Well, thatā€™s gonna be fun on the WC - every 20 or so days, off to Guest Services to have your battery replaced šŸ˜†šŸ¤£

Its no major hassle, it doesn't die completely. Took 20 seconds to replace the next time I walked past guest services.

Lasted about 14 and 15 days.

Room - Balcony - there is no sitting space -just a single chair and desk.Ā Ā

Good grief! One chair for 2 people seems weird! Did you ask for another?

I really appreciate your info as 1st time on Coral in a few weeks!! VERY disappointing to read of bland food & quiet lounges!!
Was the ship quiet overall?Ā

Any other tips on what you shouldā€™ve taken/done?Ā

It's a Princess thing, You only get another chair or sofa if its a deluxe balcony or mini suite and up.

2 out of 4 of my cruises were with low numbers, still joined in and had fun on all 4.

The food was good. Its a cruise, not fine dining. There were many dishes done well.Ā

There are bland options. Some people love bland food. Lots of tasty options too.

Mine was completely dead when we boarded. It only worked by touching it against their devices. Embarkation day meant a bit of a wait, but they changed it in a flash. I don't know if it was the device or the battery that was dead, but either way it was fixed quickly. Seems I was the lucky one, as I am not aware of anyone else having that issue.

Ā

We can live without the app aboard too, but did use it quite a few times for ordering drinks. We also bought a couple of photos, complete with digital copies, and they were DL'd to my phone in seconds via the app.

To avoid being surprised/disappointed in your cabin once you board, you could use the site below which has pictures of most of the cabins on most of the cruise lines. The dates are usually on the pictures so you can see if the info is current or not.

Ā

I used the app to order a Hot Chocolate once (when I was out on deck watching the movie) and then most days to check my account.

Ā

I tried using the app to look at events, but it was horrible for that.

Princess cabins can be smaller than many of the other lines.

I thought so - I could hardly move around in the shower. (Interior Cabin). I don't remember other cruise line's showers being so tight, but overall I was really happy with my cabin.

Did I mention that I used my mothers elite discount for the internet for the first 2 cruises ($5 a day) and the Princess plus for the next 2 cruises. Had no problems, seemed very fast to me. I even got a friend to install Foxtel onto my phone so that I could watch the F1 race and it worked fine.

I was going to research this point, but you can probably answer the question. Were you able to buy the Elite internet package after you boarded? What was the price per day?

I did something annoying with the events. I went through and added us for a heap of pretty ordinary events through the cruise, then went and removed myself. My wife was getting alerts on her app all the way through the cruise for each of those events.

Ā

I am happy to order drinks any which way, but I loved doing it on the app with the drink package.

1) It showed the price within $16, and showed the cost to your account as $0.00, so you knew you weren't getting a stray charge.

2) I knew JD & coke was within the plus cap, but by scrolling through the app I could see a list of all the available bourbons - saved asking what was available at each bar. Got to try a few new brands I would normally have not even known to ask about.

I purchased the package a few days before on the app (well my son did, I'm technically challenged) I had read on cruise critic that it was cheaper that way.Ā

I thought the menu on the app limited, many drinks not listed. E.g. under Beer and Cider, there was no cider.

Correct. Not sure I saw Crownies either, but Barb was drinking them. I thought it was pretty good for spirits and cocktails though.

The price for elite for 12 days was $88 if you bought it pre-cruise. It was $120 if you waited until after boarding, so quite a bit more. I chose to buy onboard because I had a large amount of OBC to use up.
