Does the app have messaging?

Yes, the HUB app has a messaging feature.  It is $5 per device (not per day, but for the entire cruise).  You need to leave the app open in the background in order to get notifications.  It works reasonably well, although we have had a couple of instances of messages taking some time to deliver.

If you can use other messaging methods, then you do not need to use the HUBApp chat tool.

 

If you do not like to use other methods, then it appears you still need to pay $5 per device for the Chat tool.
