Rare doowopbob Posted August 25, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2022 We have a Penthouse cabin on our upcoming cruse. Anyone know if the cabin has a Blu-ray player in it ?
Rare wishIweretravelling Posted August 25, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2022 I don’t know what ship you’ll be on, but there wasn’t one on Explorer. I doubt any of the ships have them.

Nachosdelux Posted August 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 25, 2022 I did not know that blu-ray players were still in existence. 1
daetchief Posted August 26, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 26, 2022 We've been on a couple of the ships where a DVD or Blu-Ray in the suite was a perk but we never saw it; and because the on-line library was so extensive we never asked about it. My 'belief' was that it would appear 'on-request'.
Rare wishIweretravelling Posted August 26, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 26, 2022 I’m not sure that you can even connect one to the TVs they have now.

We were in a penthouse on Splendor last month and we did not see a Blu-ray player in the room. If you can find the email address of the Head Butler you could ask, or ask you butler when you get onboard.
UUNetBill Posted September 16, 2022 #8 Share Posted September 16, 2022 I must be different than most everyone else - I rarely watch TV or movies on board...there's so much else to do that parking my butt on the couch watching a movie I could see at home just seems...I don't know, wasteful, I guess? But that's just me.

wcsdkqh Posted September 16, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 16, 2022 Absolutely agree with UUNetBill and Gpilon. I can watch TV at home for a lot less than $1000 pp/pn.

On the other hand if you have to spend five days in quarantine and can’t leave your room, and your wife moved to another room with the MacBook, that TV becomes a dear friend.

Not cool...my wife could take my MacBook when she pries it from my cold, dead fingers. ESPECIALLY if I'm quarantined and she's not.

She cruises because I cruise so it’s really not in my best interest to do anything to degrade her experience! I still was able to muddle through with my iPad and phone😉
