Rare kk20 Posted September 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2022 We’re counting down the days til our upcoming Christmas and New Years cruise on the Millennium! This will be our first holiday cruise and are wondering what we can expect onboard. For those of you of you who have sailed over the holidays, what did Celebrity do to help you celebrate? Also, we’re assuming that there will be a higher number of children on board than usual. What has been your experience in regards to having more kids onboard over the holidays? Rare mahdnc Posted September 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2022 We have taken two Christmas/NYE cruises with Celebrity with our family and thoroughly enjoyed both. Loracpin2 Posted September 5, 2022 #5 Share Posted September 5, 2022 While we haven't been on a Christmas cruise, we have taken 2 memorable New Years cruises on Equinox and Silhouette. Fantastic dinner, Fantastic music choices all over the ship, Fanatstic count down to midnight with hundreds of balloons dropped in the center of the ships!!!! Would also like to add (which most likley will cause some interesting replies) that both sailings were before the "casual chique" dress code and the evening's Formal dress on both sailings definitely added to the splendor of the Celebration!!!!!
MR_T Posted September 5, 2022 #6 Share Posted September 5, 2022 We were on the eclipse Dec 2013 xmas/nye cruise and it was a lot of fun, lots of decorating all over the ship and lots of holiday theme stuff going on all over the ship 😊

There's something magical about dressing up for NYE! (I love floor-length dresses & DH wears a tux 🙂. )
Stricks08 Posted September 6, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 6, 2022 (edited) IMG_0592.MOV We were on the Eclipse for Christmas/NYE in 2016 - it was one of our favorite trips. They had parties all over the ship and had a big countdown on the Lido deck at midnight. They filled all the hot tubs with ice and bottles of champagne. There were a lot more families and big groups which made the ship more fun, always people up the Sky lounge dancing late at night Edited September 6, 2022 by Stricks08

Rare mahdnc Posted September 6, 2022 #12 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Infinity, Christmas 2016 and NYE, Chile to Argentina This is not a blatant attempt to show off our kids. It just happens to be the best photo of the how Infinity's Grand Staircase was decorated. Stockings in our cabin Infinity was at nearing Cape Horn on New Years Day 2017
Rare mahdnc Posted September 6, 2022 #13 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Solstice, Christmas 2019 and NYE, New Zealand We set up a small Christmas tree in our cabin and exchanged presents. Christmas morning on the Tasman Sea. A few passengers decorated their cabin doors. Milford Sound on NYE!!
Rare mahdnc Posted September 6, 2022 #14 Share Posted September 6, 2022 All 3 of our holiday cruises were extended sailings (12-15 nights) or were in far away places. Consequently we did not see a large volume of kids on any of the sailings. You will enjoy your Millennium cruise. It's very festive and everyone is in an extra good mood. Rare NMTraveller Posted September 6, 2022 #15 Share Posted September 6, 2022 Well there are more young children on board than usual, but not very many at all. The few that are on board make it a very special time. It is very entertaining to watch the few young children on board. It is a very festive time of the year to cruise and I would highly recommend it.

Surfguyxxx Posted September 6, 2022 #21 Share Posted September 6, 2022 We've done 2 Christmas/New Years Cruises and absolutely loved each one. Staff was great, ship was decorated beautifully and our fellow passengers were delightful. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Rare mahdnc Posted September 8, 2022 #25 Share Posted September 8, 2022 There are nice Christmas decorations at the ports, too. During our Christmas 2016 & NYE cruise (Infinity, South America), we visited a shopping mall in Buenos Aires and it was predictably very well decorated.
