ashtree Posted September 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2022 Hi cruisers, does anyone know if there is another area on the Epic where one can vape as H20 is closed at the moment. Thank you.

MoCruiseFan Posted September 7, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2022 All smoking rules apply to vaping seeing as they are all but the same thing with the exception of vaping being even more dangerous to both the user and surrounding people.
Rare jkbec101 Posted September 7, 2022 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2022 I believe that there is a smoking area on the starboard side of the ship on the pool deck. I honestly do not know about any other areas.

All the smoking areas are listed in the FAQ on NCL's site - https://www.ncl.com/faq#!#smoking That said - one space listed is Spice H20 (which is closed and the OP was asking if there was a replacement area designated), but listed with that is the space you mention mid-ship on deck 15 port side. It's not anyone's place except NCL's to decide if there's a merit to that or not. Will it happen? Possibly not, just be aware of the risk to your vacation. Lots and lots of people take great joy in catching vapers on camera and turning them into ship's security. At that point, ship's security is obligated to take action (versus ignoring something they see and look the other way).
Rare YVRteacher Posted September 8, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2022 When I was on the Bliss in March people were vaping in the Observation Lounge. Security walked by and did nothing.

Security walked by and did nothing. Saw a couple of "vapers" on my Getaway cruise last July. They were vaping in Syd Normans. Waitstaff came by and asked them to move to a smoking area. They left and came back about 5 minutes later. They started vaping again. This time, security came and escorted them out. Not sure where they took them, or what the outcome was. But, never saw them anywhere on the cruise, again! Not sure why it's so hard to understand. But, the smoking/vaping areas are identified. Going to those areas to smoke or vape is simple. Why try either in an area where it's not allowed? Edited September 8, 2022 by graphicguy

Lots and lots of people who use vape pens instead of tobacco products to smoke take great joy in ignoring the rules that apply to them as is expressed by their cavalier use of those said pens anywhere they darn well please.
MoCruiseFan Posted September 8, 2022 #10 Share Posted September 8, 2022 To address ashtree's (the OP) question, I have heard of no changes to the smoking areas on the Epic.
