Judge56 Posted October 9, 2022 #178 Share Posted October 9, 2022 The b2b group met at 930 in the Ensemble lounge. At about 945 we were escorted off the ship and went through immigration. They had already put away the facial recognition machines so the checked passports manually. After that we exited the building and walked back to priority boarding entrance. We headed up to the waiting area and waited about 10 minutes for them to clear the ship for us to reboard. I think it was about 1015 as we got back on. There were 20-30 b2b guests. There did seem to be communication issues between the ship personnel and the port workers, but not a bad process.
jaapie Posted October 9, 2022 #179 Share Posted October 9, 2022 We disembarked from the Solstice this morning. There was plenty of elbow room around the pool and in the bars and theater as there were only 1,650 passengers on board, and plenty of staff to take care of our needs. Had a great cruise.

Each day at noon or 1pm persons at the pool area were asked to take part in guessing the answer to a question of the day. One of the questions was "what is the passenger count on this cruise" and the answer was 1,650 (the person who guessed closest won a Celebrity ball cap).

Nelly, the hostess, is a shining light in Luminae. She was sick for most of the 24 Sep cruise and it was like the lights had mostly gone out. We ate mostly in Specialties on the 24 Sep cruise. I’m guessing your discussions with Joanna worked, Bruno is a new man! He is friendly, pitching in when needed (setting tables, seating people etc) and he comes by our table every meal to see how we are doing or if we need anything….all with a smile! Luminae has been great. We ate in Blu one night this week and it was fabulous too, great food and service.

We were on both the September 16th and September 24th Solstice cruises, and were in a Suite for both legs. We had absolutely no issues with Mr. Bruno on either leg. He always checked on us, we saw him actively working to turnaround tables, was very pleasant with both his wait staff and passengers. On both of those legs we had a high number of early diners to the degree that I suspect some would have wanted to be seated for dinner at 4:30 PM. Luminae was very busy when it first opened, and we tend to dine later. We also had several "divas" who exhibited their diva behavior both in Luminae and Michael's Club. Just my perspective. We dine late as well and received excellent service last month and again this week. I totally respect your perspective but I am simply comparing the 6 different Luminae maitre d’s we’ve had since the re-start up, and Bruno was the only one who consistently stood in that area where the food comes out instead of helping the rest of the staff. Were you maybe not seated in that 2nd room & didn’t see him in there? With the staffing issues Celebrity and other lines are having and with the suites always full, we’ve seen those Maitre d’s really hustling! as Bruno is doing this week. Northern Aurora Posted October 21, 2022 #185 Share Posted October 21, 2022 When we were on the Solstice B2B in June the Luminae maitre'd turnover occurred between the first and second leg. Mr. Bruno became the Luminae maitre'd on the second leg of that June B2B. So we have had him on three legs, and I quite simply didn't have any issues with him. I felt he hustled. cruzzzinma Posted October 21, 2022 #186 Share Posted October 21, 2022 Northern Aurora, I guess we agree to disagree. Out of eight cruises in the Retreat, we felt Luminae was noticeably not the same experience on the Solstice.
greatestvalue Posted October 21, 2022 Author #187 Share Posted October 21, 2022 Just out of curiosity, how did this forum become about Mr Bruno & the Luminae. Who hacked my thread about the shape of the Solstice instead of starting thier own thread and debate on Mr Bruno? Where did the etiquette of not hacking another person's thread disappear too...lol just saying ...🤔

Out of eight cruises in the Retreat, we felt Luminae was noticeably not the same experience on the Solstice. We will definitely have to agree to disagree. Our first Celebrity cruise was in 20008. We are Zenith members of the loyalty program (since 2016) and didn't get there by booking standard staterooms. To reach over 4000 points we have done many more cruises than eight in Suites in that time frame. And I also don't understand why this thread became so centered on the Lumanie maitre'd. I just find it interesting when staff are criticized by specific name in such a public forum. Folks who don't share the opinion and had an excellent experience with that named person should share their own experience.
