Looks like Carnival is still doing upgrade offers

We aren't balcony people. For my upcoming Celebration cruise, it was an extra $650 for a balcony. We originally passed on it. Today, I got the offer email for $282 to upgrade my room. Honestly, we still probably won't use it enough. However, for $282, I figured what the hell. From what I could tell too, there wasn't an overabundance of balcony rooms left.

We got a phone call two days ago to upgrade to a suite from an aft balcony.  For less than $50 pp/day. We jumped on it.

I had a similar offer and decided to pass.  I have an extended aft balcony on the Mardi Gras and they offered me an ocean suite.  The room size didn't look *that* much bigger, but the balcony was way smaller than the one I already have.  Plus it was over $600 to upgrade, so I decided it wasn't worth it for me.  I'm glad your offer was right for you though.

How far out are y'all from your departure date?  I know the odds are against me but I'd like to know when to give up hope.  😄

Just a note they may not phone you or even email you, I noticed my upgrade when I was checking my planner online.

we sail fairly regularly on CCL but i dont recall us getting an upgrade call.  we usually use my best friend's wife, a travel agent, to book our cruises.  wonder if that's the reason?

we are sailing in dec and have our first inside cabin reserved.  i wouldnt mind an upgrade offer to ponder. ha!

Anyone have a screenshot of an upgrade offer? I'd like to know what I'm looking for on carnival.com!

Click on booking and order details then scroll down. It will be a red tab I think out to the right of where your "view invoice details" is at. I can't screen shoot it, I done used it for the upgrade and it is gone.

Upsells are based on your booked cabin location and the need for Carnival to resell it at a higher price to someone who needs it (like for minor kids) or being a connected cabin or to move underselling rooms.  It matters not how you booked, what you paid or what offer you used.

I booked a Havana interior (first for us) for the casino offer of $100, figured since we spend all of our time in the Havana we would give it an interior a whirl.  We are gone the week of Thanksgiving.  Just got a call from Carnival this week and for $300 total, we were upgraded to a Havana balcony/patio room.  Since we were in so cheap, I was surprised and jumped all over it!
