The islands are beautiful. In Aruba, we went to Eagle Beach. We did the Pirate ship snorkel. Beach is amazing. We ate on the beach to watch the sunset. Snorkeling was fantastic in Bonaire. In Curacao, we went to Kokomo Beach club in the morning and visited the city center… with the moving bridge and love locks in the afternoon.
I can’t comment on the ship because Horizon had issues so they subbed it for the Liberty.

We just booked this cruise for Sept 16 2023. We've been to Aruba and Curacao before and we could not be excited to go back. Curacao is our favorite island. It has a real European feel mixed with a lay back island vibe. Theres lots to see right by the port, just across the moving bridge. We did like Aruba to but we didnt spend too much time outside of our snorkeling excursion. Looking forward to seeing more of the island

We did the ABC Islands in April/May, on the Horizon. The only compliant was the heat in several public areas. We had an inside cabin in the Havana area. Our room temperature was great, but the Havana Bar was so incredibly hot. I thought all of the deck 5 areas were hot. The food was ok, we never went hungry.  I have to say Donkey the CD was the best!!!! He was so much fun and full of energy.

The ladies who play in the Atrium were incredible. I'm sorry I 'remember the name of the group.

I agree w/ Megan about the Jolly Pirates tour, was awesome. You just have to take a cab to MooMba Beach. You will enjoy this excursion.

We were to have snorkeled wi/ Sea Cow, but they cancelled before w left on Thursday. We ended just booking a tour of the Island. We booked w/ tour guide out on the street, there are several to pick from. They are set up under shade tents right outside the port area.

We did a Turtle snorkel excursion w/ Carnival. The turtles were huge, and the beach area was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

did the ABC on the horizon, loved the ship and ports.

Aruba - catamaran.

Bonaire - just a walk around town and grabbed freshly squeezed oj and coffee. i love both.   i think this was an early departure stop and we couldnt figure out what to do.

Curacao - went to the casino and walked into the pool area and chilled there for half a day.  was supposed to be a fee but no one was there to collect our stop.  then we walked up the bay/river and saw the floating bridge and checked out the shops in town.

My wife and I sailed Horizon this past March to Aruba, Bonaire, La Romana, and Amber Cove.

We stayed in Havana and loved the ship.

As for what we did ashore:

Aruba - took a taxi to beautiful Eagle Beach, spent a good part of the day there. Then did the Sunset Sail through Carnival. Instantly became one of our favorite islands to visit. Perfect day.

Bonaire - took a taxi to Ocean Osasis resort and just had a nice, laid back day by the water. Beautiful area, but rocky. We really liked the resort. Food and drinks are available to purchase, and the service was great.

Here's a more detailed review of the trip

Did this sailing in March... absolutely fantastic! Aruba was incredible. Late port stop... cabbed to Eagle Beach, beach bar and lazy beach day, then Carnival sunset cruise excursion that night, one of the best we've ever done. Curacao was incredible as always... tour to the "other" side of the island, beautiful and interesting.

Horizon is a great ship! You'll have a blast!

We did the ABCs on the Horizon a few months ago.  I enjoyed the ship.  No real complaints other than the fact that it was noticeably hot in some areas.  These were our excursions:

Aruba - Aruba Bob snorkeling (great company, very patient instructor, snorkeling was okay)

Bonaire - Woodwind Bonaire snorkeling (the crew and the whole experience were amazing.  Would absolutely do it again)

Curacao - free walking tour

I hope you snorkel as the 3 islands have some of the best snorkeling in the world.

Aruba, been twice and rented a car both times.   Spent time snorkeling then beaches.  The island, outside of the beaches, isn't that pretty.

Curacao - great snorkeling and cool little town.  They have a great spot to snorkel with the turtles.... almost 100% chance if you get there early in the day.  We have rented a car here too as it allows us to get to the good spots before the tours.  We also love the little town.

Bonaire... best snorkeling ever..... Either take an excursion or take the shuttle out to the Klein Bonaire (little island).  They have drift snorkeling where you walk to one end of the island and snorkel down to the other end then turn around and do it all over again!  I think the shuttle was $10 or $20 and they run every hour.

We wanted to do Woodwind but they were full. 😞

I wish Carnival did all 3 ABC islands in one sailing.

They do.  There are currently 10 eight day options.  Five on the Horizon and five on the Celebration, all out of Miami.  Horizon dates: 4/29/23, 9/16/23, 1/6/24, 4/27/24 & 5/11/24.

Celebration dates: 5/10/23, 6/17/23, 7/15/23, 8/12/23 & 9/9/23.

The reason I know this is because we have a reservation on the 9/9/23 Celebration sailing.

We are booked for July 2024 porting at Aruba, Bonaire, La Romana, and Amber Cove.   I wish Carnival did all 3 ABC islands in one sailing.  Oh well I guess I'll have to book an other cruise!

They do, but you just have to find the right itinerary. We are on Celebration to the ABCs in 2023. The best part is Aruba and Bonaire are 14-hour stops. You can do a whole lot more with that amount of time.

We are doing the ABC's in May on Horizon, can't wait! First cruise since Sept 2019.
