On the smaller Ruby Princess back in 2014 we tendered in Bar Harbor and Newport but maybe they now have docks large enough for a ship the size of the Enchanted Princess? Both ports require cruise ships to anchor.

If it's a pier location, the waves and wind have to be below a certain criteria or the ship will not come in. 18 cruises so far and I think we've missed 5 or 6 ports of call on those cruises and our Hurricane Irma cruise had a completely different itinerary than we planned one to stay away from the storm. Rolling with weather, mechanical and other issues is part of becoming a seasoned cruiser. You may not always get the exact cruise you signed up for. 🙂
jsn55 Posted September 27, 2022 #7 Share Posted September 27, 2022 (edited) So true! We are in Halifax this morning on NCL Pearl, our first and only Canadian port; we missed Charlottetown and Sydney trying to avoid Fiona. We were 33 hours late getting out of Quebec, it was very cool sailing out in the dark with all the pretty lights. So what do we see now at 8am? Solid fog! You can't make this stuff up. We're avoiding big gatherings on the ship so as not to have to hear all the complaining. What do they think ... the Captain can just magically stick to the itinerary no matter what? We're just glad to be out on a ship. RCCL's Voyager just slipped into the dock in front of us, great to watch her come in.
