Super Bowl on Horizon

So I'll be in the Horizon for the Super Bowl. I'm assuming I'll be able to watch the game at the sports bar or elsewhere on the ship. Does anyone know if it will be possible to get snacks at the bar during the game? Something simple like nachos and wings or chicken fingers or whatever.

Don't know but go early and claim your table if you don't want to watch the super bowl standing up

oh and 1 more thing any sports game is only available in the sports bar no were else in the ship not even in the cabin TV that only shows their selective TV channels

We watched the Super Bowl on the Valor a few years ago. They actually had set up a table with wings and nacho items in the sports bar. Not sure if they do this post-Covid.

The Super Bowl is the one football game you guarantee will be shown everywhere.

I’m betting the Super Bowl will be on the big screen in the theater.  I’ve seen two Super Bowls on cruises.  1999 on Royal Princess in South America; 2010 on HAL.  On HAL, they had it set up in the theater, encouraged people to sit on one side or the other for their team.  Tailgate food set up across the rear of the theater.  Guarantee it will be hard to escape.  however…you may be seeing it without commercials.  And how many of us watch it just for the commercials, if ‘our’ team isn’t playing?  In fact, I’m watching some college games now just for the commercials.  Some really funny/clever ones out there….  EM

They'll have it showing on whatever ships have the movie screen on lido, Red Frog Pub and on a few of the TVs around the casino.

I think ive heard it plays on outdoor screen, too.  

 

But id ask for confirmation from others on that, i might be mistaken.  We have never sailed on SB weekend.

This would be ideal as I'd rather sit outside under the stars to watch the game instead of the sports bar. Although the bar might have a better environment.

Been on several cruises on Super Bowl Sunday  almost Exclusively with Carnival. The game a has always been on the big screen on the lido deck and at every bar that has TVs  Also super bowl is the only live sports event that is also on your cabin TV, but that may have changed because it’s been a few years since we watched in our cabin.  As far as snacks go I do not remember them being offered on the Lido deck.

Been on a couple as well.  Remember it being in the main theater as well.  Should be no problem finding it.

The game will be on the big screen, in the main theater and in the sports bar. When we cruised that weekend it was not available in the cabin. 

 The weather was wet and cool, so the theater filled early; at least 45 min before the kickoff. We love seats on the second tier on the glass in the theater and snagged one early. 

 Food was plentiful, extra time for a burrito or Guys Burger. Appreciate this was before Covid, so who knows. 

 Last month on the Breeze the cruise director shared they were over two hundred crew members short, and we could see a difference from past trips.
