The Unlimited Social Media Wi-Fi package gives you access to majority of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, WeChat, etc.). Excludes Tik Tok • The package allows you to view, post and upload videos on social media and also chat on all popular messenger platforms. • Price displayed is per day use. Total cruise rate will be calculated based on the number of cruise days. • Can be used only on one device at a time. • This package does not include email access or web browsing. julig22 Posted October 5, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 5, 2022 It's very simple to restrict access to everything except specific named sites. Just like an employer can block non-employment related sites for example. They essentially block everything, then allow certain sites. While onboard, anyone can access the NCL site and Cruise Critic without even having a plan.
Rare mking8288 Posted October 5, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2022 How to restrict ... in a nutshell, certain sites and it's ip addresses are whitelisted to permit access, while all other URL's are blocked since all the data traffic onboard are cached thru their firewalled (Cisco & Lenovo, etc,) hardware servers. Rare 1025cruise Posted October 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2022 They use a filter. If you don't have the plan, you don't get online. If you don't have streaming, they block that as well.
