Azura questions

Hi, our P&O experience is limited - Oceana and the lovely Oriana so far. We've recently returned from Cunard's QE and have also cruised with Marella.

I've seen a very well-priced cruise on Azura for Autumn 23 and have a couple of questions:

does she have a bar similar to the Commodore club/Crow's Nest where you can easily while away a few hours drinking coffee in the day?

is there a decent selection of alcohol free drinks eg AF beers, Fentimans sodas, Fevertree tonics, AF cocktails?

are the speciality restaurants good? We were disappointed with the Verandah on QE but do like Indian and Italian food

is there a Library?

many thanks

Never been on Azura, but have been on Ventura and Grand Princess.

One of the shortcomings of Grand class ship design is the lack of a crows nest bar and no obvious alternative of a large public room with a view where you can watch the world go by.

There is the Planet Bar "up top" - not quite a Crows Nest but similar.

Currently the drinks menus on P&O are somewhat limited but could well change in 12 months time.

"Good" is subjective. There is Epicurean (fine dining), Sindhu (Indian), Glass House and Beach House. Currently P&O's speciality restaurants are a bit "hit and miss" but again they could be back to normal in 12 months time.

There is no Italian - but there may be an Italian themed buffet one or two nights.

Yes

The Crows nest equivalent will be the Planet bar on deck 18 aft. It is a large venue but is sort of at the wrong end of the ship IMO

Restaurants are:

The Epicurian on deck 17

The Beach House on Deck 15 in the evening - actually part of the buffet but waiter service

The Glass House on deck 7 for wine and food, my favourite venue

Sindhu on deck 7 for Indian fusion?

There is a small library in the Atrium on deck 6

thanks everyone. We've gone ahead and booked it - a great deal and quite a few ports we've not been to. I think the Planet Bar and the Glass House will be our favourite spots!

We also booked today for the 12th October, 16 nights. Nice amount of obc included with the Select fare. Aft cabin, yeah. Love the wake view cabins.

we're on from the 5th, getting off in Tenerife. Yep, seems a good deal!

Maybe see you onboard - my husband is from the NE, though he's now exiled in Blackpool 😀

Tried to change this morning to either 22 or 23 nights leaving on the 5th but no aft (wake view) cabins available at all. They always sell quickly so not really surprised.

we're in our usual inside cabin. Looking forward to it already!

Some of the aft cabins may be being used as isolation cabins as they are on Ventura. Those who have booked them will be relocated.
