Silhouette Deck 6

I’ve stayed in a few staterooms on deck 6. If you look outwards there’s no obstructions it’s only if you look down. We normally book deck 6 as we don’t see the need to pay more for higher floors…opinions will vary of course 😂

Can anyone send me photos or give me their opinions on the obstructed veranda cabins on deck 6?

I am specifically looking at cabin 6240?
thank you

This is from 6236, which is two staterooms forward of you.

I agree with the above poster.   No problem to see outward. and pretty well downward too.  Also some positives;  you are only a deck or 2 away by stairs from casino, dining, bars, theatre.  We have stayed in 6240 and will be doing a B2B  in that cabin in February.   It has a larger balcony as well.

Cruisedeckplans has pictures of 6240 on Equinox.  Looking out over the rescue boat.  There are pics of 6241 on several of the other S class ships.  Good membership to have if you are particular about cabins.  Also, did you look for reviews in the cabin sticky?  There is a video of 6240 on Reflection, if you Google you might find it.  You don’t get to the cabin until probably 3/4 through, and she’s not good at it.  They had a lot of luggage…. We had an obstructed view in 6196 and had no problems.  If you looked out the glass, you saw the life boat if your were sitting.  If you were standing you had a normal view.  It was a $500 savings for us to take that cabin and I would do it again!

We prefer 7 as it's sandwiched between cabins and the price is basically the same.

We are going to try 6241 on our upcoming Silhouette cruise. We've been in 6240 on the Solstice and weren't bothered by the small boat below but it had bed by veranda and we prefer the other arrangement. We've also been in a couple of 2C cabins on S-class ships toward the stern that have larger rectangular verandas that extend over the blue roof on Deck 5. We've also been in a 2B cabin on Deck 6 starboard midship but folks gathered on the deck below in the evenings. I imagine those cabins would be worse on the port side since the smoking area is directly below them!

I was going to attache a link to a great page that showed the views from obstructed cabins on S, M and E class...but Celebrity has deleted it and replaced it with other info and does not include info on obstructed view...oh well.
