groundloop Posted October 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2022 My daughter just bought CCL stock while the price is relatively low and wants to get her shareholder onboard credit for our cruise in 6 weeks. The brokerage company she used won't be issuing a statement in time for her to submit it to Carnival so I think the best she can do is a screenshot of her portfolio showing the CCL shares. Unfortunately that won't have her name on it, does anyone know if that will be a problem?
Rare ledges1 Posted October 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2022 There should be a trade confirmation on your broker site for the purchase. Print a copy and email to Carnival with your cruise info. It should have the client name on the confirm.
nwcruiselover Posted October 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 9, 2022 The first time I requested shareholder OBC I used the trade confirmation and that worked fine.

Rare kctwinmommy Posted October 9, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2022 We just took a screenshot of our account, since the account has our names on it, along with the proof of owning the stocks. That's all they needed. And I would send it in today! Some say they got it quickly, however, myself and others it took exactly 1 month. I sent mine in on 9/9 and just got my confirmation today, exactly 1 month later. As long as she can log into her account, shows her name, the date, and ownership of the shares, she should be fine. sternfanla Posted October 9, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2022 Just an FYI, Carnival suggests, Requests can be submitted as early as 3 months but no later than 4 weeks prior to the cruise.

I've sent in request WAY more than 3 months in advance and they've gone through. I was just looking at my upcoming cruises and one I did 10 months ahead with no issues. But anyway, we found the trade confirmation and will get that sent in.

I wonder if the people who are being denied are submitting before final payment. I am submitting my request after final payment. Now that I think about it every time I submitted the request it was after I had made my final payment. I was never denied. Just curious!

Raiderguy8 Posted October 30, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 30, 2022 I wanted to provide a recent data point. I submitted my OBC request for our December sailing on October 6th and got the approval email on October 30th.
Rare sparks1093 Posted December 5, 2022 #11 Share Posted December 5, 2022 This is one time a search really helped me find the answer I am looking for. We recently bought 100 shares of CCL stock and was wondering if the transaction confirmation would work. I'll email it in and we'll see how it goes. Thanks all for the info! cruisemom67 Posted December 8, 2022 #12 Share Posted December 8, 2022 I submitted ours for December 15th, and did it on Thanksgiving Day. I wasn't sure it would be in time as that was 3 weeks out. We had just bought it, and wanted to try it. Our OBC came through a few days after submission.
justafem Posted December 8, 2022 #13 Share Posted December 8, 2022 I've never gotten the stock OBC on carnival, but I only book casino rate rooms (IE only taxes and fees), but always get it on princess, which are also only casino rates. Go figure! I'm hoping that I can upgrade my room(s) on a couple of cruises and maybe get the onboard that way. Oh well, stock has more than paid for itself after all the onboard I've gotten from princess.

tensixmom Posted January 7, 2023 #15 Share Posted January 7, 2023 Can anyone point me to where on the Carnival site it tells you how much OBC you get for holding 100 shares of Carnival stock? I cannot find it searching the site.

sunonfire Posted January 8, 2023 #19 Share Posted January 8, 2023 You have to login on the carnival website. Upper right hand side three lines. Click on. Go Booking and Order Details. View invoice. It should be on there.

d-lite-n-cruisin Posted January 12, 2023 #21 Share Posted January 12, 2023 Sure would be nice to get the $250 OBC for the 15 day cruise we have in September 2023. The website says it is only valid for cruises through July 31st at this time. I shall wait.

To be honest it's the only reason that I have Carnival stock. They get rid of that reason and I'll probably get rid of the stock as well.

We bought 3 months ago for a really good price. Should've did it 12 years ago before the first cruise. Live and Learn. I hope they extend it as well. No way we could have done that at the high of $65 they had a couple of years ago. I am still buying a little here and a little there in the hopes that we see that level again to give us some to sell and some to hold, but we shall see.
