CCL shareholder OBC question

My daughter just bought CCL stock while the price is relatively low and wants to get her shareholder onboard credit for our cruise in 6 weeks.  The brokerage company she used won't be issuing a statement in time for her to submit it to Carnival so I think the best she can do is a screenshot of her portfolio showing the CCL shares.  Unfortunately that won't have her name on it, does anyone know if that will be a problem?

With the price she got the stock at, it probably just paid for  itself.

We just took a screenshot of our account, since the account has our names on it, along with the proof of owning the stocks. That's all they needed.

And I would send it in today! Some say they got it quickly, however, myself and others it took exactly 1 month. I sent mine in on 9/9 and just got my confirmation today, exactly 1 month later. As long as she can log into her account, shows her name, the date, and ownership of the shares, she should be fine.

Just an FYI,

Carnival suggests, Requests can be submitted as early as 3 months but no later than 4 weeks prior to the cruise.

I've sent in request WAY more than 3 months in advance and they've gone through.  I was just looking at my upcoming cruises and one I did 10 months ahead with no issues.

But anyway, we found the trade confirmation and will get that sent in.

I wonder if the people who are being denied are submitting before final payment. I am submitting my request after final payment. Now that I think about it every time I submitted the request it was after I had made my final payment. I was never denied.  Just curious!

  • 3 weeks later...
  • 1 month later...

This is one time a search really helped me find the answer I am looking for. We recently bought 100 shares of CCL stock and was wondering if the transaction confirmation would work. I'll email it in and we'll see how it goes. Thanks all for the info!

I've never gotten the stock OBC on carnival, but I only book casino rate rooms (IE only taxes and fees), but always get it on princess, which are also only casino rates.  Go figure!

I'm hoping that I can upgrade my room(s) on a couple of cruises and maybe get the onboard that way.  Oh well, stock has more than paid for itself after all the onboard I've gotten from princess.

We booked a casino rate room.  I submitted the proof of stock and was denied because of the casino offer.  DH resubmitted and was approved.

We got our OBC for our 2/11 sailing on the Vista in less than 48 hours.

Send them a copy of your stock ownersip with ypur account # blacked out

and the names of the passengers who are sailing, the booking #, the name of the ship and the sail date.

We e-mailed ours, but you can also use snail mail iff you have enough time.

Enjoy your cruise.

Sure would be nice to get the $250 OBC for the 15 day cruise we have in September 2023.  The website says it is only valid for cruises through July 31st at this time.   I shall wait.

It would certainly be nice if they keep extending the program. To be honest it's the only reason that I have Carnival stock. They get rid of that reason and I'll probably get rid of the stock as well.

Totally understandable.  We bought 3 months ago for a really good price.  Should've did it 12 years ago before the first cruise.  Live and Learn.  I hope they extend it as well.

Same here. We had a little extra money and the price was right. No way we could have done that at the high of $65 they had a couple of years ago. I am still buying a little here and a little there in the hopes that we see that level again to give us some to sell and some to hold, but we shall see.
