dmms Posted October 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Reviews of the Prima thus far have been varied. Have a Prima cruise booked in February. Interested in your thoughts/ perceptions. Hearing and learning about new shiny objects is always fun. And your reviews have historically been very thorough. Happy Sailing!
Rare BirdTravels Posted October 10, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) As rumored, they have cancelled the port call in Virginia Beach. So we essentially end up with 3 sea days with one day in port. We have to wait until the dock in Bermuda clears before coming in. The Traveling Man Posted October 10, 2022 #10 Share Posted October 10, 2022 @BirdTravels Please let us know how many are on board and how crowded the ship seems. We were on the Prima from Copenhagen to Southampton. It sailed at about half capacity, but many of the shows were SRO and some of the lounges and other areas felt quite crowded.

Sorry...I had to...I was very glad one of our days turned into a sea day in April when Norfolk was canceled. VA Beach sounds so much nicer, but are you really going to drive 45 minutes each way to go to that crummy beach? Bird, sorry about Bermuda being such a fast trip! I'm stunned you're only barely there. I suppose the two docking locations may be tied. up. Oh well, have a stunning time! 4 hours ago, BirdTravels said: As rumored, they have cancelled the port call in Virginia Beach. So we essentially end up with 3 sea days with one day in port. bluesea777 Posted October 10, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 10, 2022 An overnight docked in Bermuda is a lot better than a short day in Bermuda! You'll be able to step off ship and view the ship in her lit-up glory at night.
Rare BirdTravels Posted October 10, 2022 Author #14 Share Posted October 10, 2022 The senior crew were not told why the itinerary was changed. Only speculation that with all of the cost and effort people had to go to go to Bermuda, they wanted to give us a full day there.

Rare BirdTravels Posted October 10, 2022 Author #24 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Plan ahead. If you need some mommy and daddy time, make sure to enroll the kiddos at the Splash Academy upon embarkation and take them there the first night to make friends. Open to kids ages 3 to 12.
Rare BirdTravels Posted October 10, 2022 Author #25 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Need to keep your teens occupied, the Entourage is for them. Enroll on embarkation day and set them loose the first night. For unknown reasons, NCL did not create a teen club on the Prima. They are using part of the Splash Academy as a teen room, which,,, is really lacking for teens.
