knowing how much cash grab both the prima and ncl is right now, it wont be surprised if it will cost money in the next few years

Before the ship was ever built, that the food court was to be free, was a major advertising point

Need a laugh??? The Improv Comedy Club is the place to go. Early shows are family oriented. Late shows 18+.

Now… this club is about half the size as The Social on recent NCL ships. It seats only 50 passengers. 10 minutes before show time, they let in another 50 SRO (Standing Room Only) guests forcing them to stand at the back of the room.

Pro Tip: Book as soon as you embark. The shows sell out really fast.

Yeah, I've seen this discussed elsewhere.  Doesn't make sense that they would expect only 100 of the potentially 3100 people on board to want to see the comedy shows.

I always enjoy hearing what the Bird and AudreyC have to say.

We'll be on the Prima in June out of Iceland. I guess I'll see how she does in colder climes.

As a hearing-impaired person, I've given up on comedy clubs - no closed captioning! So we'll let two people have seats.

In another discussion, people complained about how much area the art auction was getting.

I am hearing impaired myself, but not majorly like some (I am deaf in my right ear but have 80% in my left)

People gotta stop spending money at the art auctions so we can have comedy space 😛

But The Bird never recommends the Vibe because it is money that you could better spend elsewhere.

100% personal preference.  Many love the Haven, many prefer to cruise more often.  Many only cruise with a balcony, others would choose an inside and splurge on the Vibe.

And yes, all of the pool areas are small. Especially compared to the Allure. The Bird was on the inaugural voyage of the Symphony after being christened. And the true maiden voyage of the Wonder of the Seas earlier this year. And the first voyage of the Harmony out of her new home port of PC. Mega mega.

Obviously a ship that is over 90 K tons larger should have bigger pools.

A good comparison would be to the Edge Class ships, which it seems the Prima is styled after.  The main pool is at least 25 yards long on the Edge and the Apex.

I see that there were some umbrellas in the VIBE.  I am wondering if there are any other covered areas in there.

For instance, is the bar in the VIBE shaded/covered?   Wondering if there is any way to sit outside with some shade.

Love your review!

Great review so far Bird. I will be on the next cruise and don't want surprises. I saw the picture below you posted that says have documents ready, including proof of vaccination. That sign hasn't been updated, right? I understood that starting 10/4, no proof, no masking, just back to normal.

I believe that because the ship was going to Bermuda, proof of vaccination was still required.

We needed vaccinations, tests, $40/per person Bermuda Travel Authorization for a 6 hour port call.

are you going to the price is right?

The Price is Right *LIVE*

NCL paid $$$ to get the rights and game.

Mountain Climber contestant with $0 to spare won a large flat screen TV

Plinko contestant got 5 tokens and won $625 cash

Race contestant did not win.

Showcase winner got Tumi luggage. If they were within $100 of price of showcase, they would have won a Corvette.

All pricing game contestants were selected randomly from those who swiped in (reservations required).
