snorkle lover Posted October 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2022 Looking for suggestions for a good restaurant either in the Hotel Intercontinental ( Miami) or within walking distance of the hotel for our one night pre cruise stay. We pretty much like just about any food although not keen on really spicy/ hot food.
Rare PaulMCO Posted October 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2022 I have stayed there on business -- the Chophouse in the IHG is OK I prefer Il Gabiano (Italian) nearby within walking distance. Food is good..
irishwitchy Posted October 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2022 Go across the street to the JW Marriott and go to Boulud Sud. Highly recommend the restaurant by him also across from Lincoln Center, same name. Mind you the man has lots of places and I love them all. 1

mnocket Posted October 16, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Here's a hidden gem about 4 blocks from the hotel. Alloy Bistro Gourmet https://alloybistro.com/
wristband Posted October 17, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2022 I happily also rec Boulud. A short hop from IHC. Restaurant is excellent (but expensive) or Bar Boulud (in a separate area from the restaurant) - offers a good bar menu and comfortable seating. We have eaten at & enjoyed both venues. Note the Bar area gets rocking with the after work crowd who hit the booze button big time, groups and stay put for long periods. Glub glub glub. Rare boblerm Posted October 17, 2022 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2022 If you want to keep things easy, we very much enjoyed Toro Toro , in the hotel. Another favorite of ours for seafood is is Trulucks, close by.

snorkle lover Posted October 18, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) I really appreciate all the input for a restaurant near the Hotel Intercontinental. It looks like we have some wonderful choices so it will be difficult to choose one, but choose we must! Thanks again! That was our Regent hotel on our March Splendor cruise. We decided to just have a quick meal/appetizers at the hotel restaurant on the 25th floor. Good food and drinks without leaving the hotel, where the lobby is on the 25th floor. A nice evening then into a comfortable room before embarkation the next day. PaulaJK Posted October 21, 2022 #12 Share Posted October 21, 2022 I do not recall any chop house in the IC hotel, only Toro Toro which we did not enjoy. We have enjoyed Boulud on other visits and look forward to returning. Love Truluck but beware that it is very high end. The stone crab claws are delicious.. wristband Posted October 22, 2022 #13 Share Posted October 22, 2022 One meal at Toro Toro in the recent past was one meal too many. Skip it, go elsewhere.
