I would take his comment with a pinch of salt. We were told that there was no more around when we were honest and tested positive on our Britannia cruise in Sept. It turned out there were many cases, so many that mask wearing became compulsory on orders from the captain, medical dept and Carnival. The crew are told not to comment on the number of cases.

I think the issue is that you are looking at things purely from what happened to you in September.

Time moves on, and so should you.

Thank you for your advice. I will take it under consideration. As to looking at what happened to me, I cannot do otherwise. I am nobody else but me . We were blatantly lied to and whilst time moves on, P&O do not.

Before we descend into the usual chaos on this thread, I'd like to say thank you to Walkingdude for his investigative work into the background.  He is after all on his holiday and very kindly offered to trawl the corridors and back alleys of Britannia noting any information which might be helpful going forward with regard to the conspiracy some believe P&O to be carrying on.

I for one have found his detailed reports helpful in my information gathering regarding the insurance (or lack of it !) situation.  It is difficult to discuss and present a case when you have little knowledge save hearsay of what a "normal" voyage looks like disease wise and as with everything the numbers and when and where they occur or vital.  This particular sailing was of huge relevance in the case to be presented as it is the first one for months where all passengers were required to be tested before boarding (and no I'm not going to enter into debates about waste of time, doesn’t work etc etc).  To present a proper argument to P&O and the insurance companies it is necessary to speak with certainty.  So from me a personal thank you to Walkingdude for carrying out the time consuming research he has in the cause of the many.

Many thanks to Bazrat too, he always manages to see the good side of everything when he's onboard enjoying his cruise.

Yes, I've found his reporting very useful and interesting as well.

I'm sure you realise though, in terms of your argument to P&O, that anything you draw from what he has reported will be hearsay, so it won't let you present an argument with 'certainty'; it will merely allow you to pass on second hand what has been reported to you by a third party.

Another excellent  meal last night, this time in the Glass House, couldn’t fault it. The  wine was pretty good as  well.

As to whether we know how many cases of covid there are on board we are really not bothered. With so many passengers and crew on here somebody will have it, unless I get it I won’t be giving it any more thought than I would at home. What will be will be.

Update on the Deck 14 cabin that was tested yesterday - 2 room service trays outside the cabin last night, but no red dots. Could just be a coincidence. Will check again later today.
Have noticed that less crew members in the buffet restaurant and the bars are wearing masks now. Also, the hand sanitizer attendants at the entrances to the Horizon have disappeared during the past 24 hours or so.
This is just an observation

Room service trays outside Deck 14 cabin again.
Horizon sanitizer attendant at one end of Horizon, but not the other

When we caught it there was no visible red dot on our cabin, nor on the ones near us who had room service trays out every day.. The only way we could tell was by the very large number of RS trays outside doors. One day we had to wait 9o mins for the meal due to ' very busy time'[ according to delivery steward.

Room service trays outside cabins doesn't mean anything, my wife as not been well last few days pre existing condition, so there as been trays outside our cabin.

More tales from the dark side I fancied so pizza so popped down got a plate started to pick a piece up with the spatula and a woman leaned across me and ripped a piece off with her fingers, the server told her to use the equipment supplied she just smiled and walked off, the remaining pizza went in the bin

I don't know whether that is arrogance or ignorance.  Or both. 😡  As well as just plain rude.

I couldn't contain myself in that situation. She would have got both barrells.

Different menu in the Beach House, apart from the Big Eats

No photos of our meals this evening, because we don’t want to make anyone feel sick.

Can honestly say that, while the meals were enjoyable, we all felt that our meal in the BH last week was a little better. Just our opinions.

Caribbean music “party” on deck 16 this evening. Lots of pax in attendance.
Last night, we watched Pulse in the Live Lounge perform “I believe in a thing called Rock”. The final 45 minutes was a tribute to Pink Floyd. Very enjoyable evening for those that like their rock music

What a fantastic atmosphere up there last night, looked great as well. We strolled out on deck after having a wonderful meal in Epicurean, yet another highlight. Ended the night in the casino. This holiday really has been everything we could have wanted and we haven’t even arrived in the Caribbean yet.

That was our impression on the meals, but puddings are either incredibly sweet or bland ice cream was good though.
