I prefer the reclining chairs on S-class with a foot stool. When the cushion gets wet, it stays wet for a long time so you can't sit on it. Not very comfortable. Just think if you had an IV balcony you would have the “balcony door” 😁 up so the cushion would’ve been dry😉 1

Short time in Bermuda..will you just stay at the dock area? Plenty of shops and a few nice places for lunch or a drink . We took a cab to Hamilton and having lunch @ The Hog Penny. Whenever we've been, the cab drivers have always been very friendly and give a 'tour'. Our driver today did as well. We won't make the ferry so a cab back. 🍹 Happy's Famous Rum Swizzle

It's a bit pricier than picking up and dropping off at the same place, but it can be a great option. In recent years, we have found it is our best option when we have to fly out of LAX. We pick up a car locally, top off the tank near LAX, drop it off, and take the car rental shuttle to the terminal. We do the reverse for getting home. We much prefer to fly out of the smaller airport about 15 minutes from our house, but LAX is generally far less expensive, so the one-way rental is a great option for us, and far more affordable than paying for parking for more than a few days or using any sort of ride service. FYI, we live in Santa Clarita. We do cheapairportparking.org. Drive ourselves and pay about 100 a week to park.

Rare PinkSandGirl Posted October 28, 2022 Author #208 Share Posted October 28, 2022 Traffic is unusually heavy in Bermuda today so we are headed back to the ship. Our driver just ran a red light along with other cars in front and behind us so we could keep going. Thankfully traffic the other way stayed. I guess they didn't have a choice. 😆 Lunch and cocktails were good, bought a new bottle of Gosling's Bermuda Dark Rum and some usual souvenirs I get from everywhere, even when I've been already. A magnet, Christmas Ornament, shot glass and a tile. I like to buy some local items as well but we didn't have time for that. It was very hot just before we got off of the ship but it has cooled down because of cloud cover. Some drizzle here and there with blue skies trying to peak through. 🍹 If you never saw it before, the world's smallest drawbridge. It is no longer in use. They make them sail around now. The mast would have to pass through when in use.

It doesn't matter what you chose as your dining preference precruise. The ship is 100% Select anytime dining. It was explained that 40% of each dining room is allocated to precruise reservations, the remaining 60% for walk-ins. This would explain way there have been posts on CC of people choosing fixed early or late set seating but able to make whole cruise reservations in whatever dining room they wanted. We are on Beyond now. First night, October 26, we went to the Normandie restaurant at 7:15. There was a line, we were given a pager and were called for dinner in about 30 minutes. 2nd night we went to Cyprus restaurant at 7:45 and were seated immediately. I don’t like this system. I prefer traditional dining, fixed time, same table and same wait staff. This change in dining room policy may have been implemented recently as my travel agent was not aware of it. 1

We have an announcement that will definitely make waves… Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen will be broadcasted from Celebrity Beyond on November 1st, featuring Captain Sandy, Captain Lee, Captain Jason, Captain Glenn and Captain Kerry from all Below Deck franchises, and our very own Captain Kate! Tune into Bravo this Tuesday at 10 PM EST, and let us know which Captain you think runs the tightest ship below. 3
Rare PinkSandGirl Posted October 28, 2022 Author #213 Share Posted October 28, 2022 Sky Suite - Bed Facing the Water Con't... 🍹 We have cabins next to each other so we asked for the divider to be opened. I have a solid wall on one side. I knew this when booking. I researched it prior to the ship being built but figured it out and was correct. 😉 My mom and dad have the pole that I believe was referred to polegate when the Edge came out. The chairs. No. Celebrity needs to change these. When wet, the cushions take forever to dry and they aren't very comfortable. The point of the balcony is to sit out there and enjoy it. Yes, I can sit out there but the chairs need to be thrown 'overboard'. Not really, but figuratively. 😉 The Magic Carpet has been parked up there. Not an issue at all. We aren't close to it, it appears closer in the pictures. 2
Rare PinkSandGirl Posted October 28, 2022 Author #214 Share Posted October 28, 2022 Sky Suite - Bed Facing the Water Con't... 🍹 Water and items in the refrigerator and top of dresser are included. Our Butler asked what we wanted. We said just water. My boyfriend asked for pineapple juice, she brings a glass every night and puts it in the refrigerator. There is coke in there but we don't drink it. We could have alcohol too, but when she asked on embarkation day, we said water was good. It is constantly re-stocked. We get our cocktails from around the ship. 😉 There is also a pot to boil hot water and there is an assortment of Twinings and Bigelow Tea Bags.

Thanks, hcat! 😃 As long as you aren't in a cabin on the Magic Carpet Track, your bed will face the water. The balconies are the same size too (except aft and Magic Carpet ones). The aft sky suites don't face the water either, but you said you are on the side. 🍹
