Jaimel134 Posted October 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2022 Anyone else receive letters from MSC saying pay within 7 days or we cancel your cruise. My final balance is not due yet. No issue of when I pay it but this is now the second letter from MSC saying pay now or we cancel your cruise. Booked direct and spoke to customer service who say not to worry and work to your confirmation payment date but it still isn’t nice receiving this letters by email. JT1962 Posted October 23, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2022 Can’t speak specifically to this issue, but MSC Customer Service, website and IT are horrible. The onboard experience is great, but you are likely to get multiple confusing emails, text messages or conflicting answers to questions from agents if you call. aeraen Posted October 26, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 26, 2022 Yes, and I was surprised and confused. Same thing, "Pay up or you will be cancelled!" I typically like to wait until a few days before the stated due date (ours was Nov 1), in the event something makes us need to cancel. Actually, it appears to me that their due date was what was off, because it did state that final was due 90 days before sail date, while Nov 1 is abut 75 days out. As we were paying for our adult children and three cabins, we decided to just make the final payment when it was demanded and limit any complications. I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find a place to do the payment. I was able to link my credit card and thought maybe they would initiate the payment, but no. There should be an orange button to click on that says Complete Payment under the cruise description when you log in and go up that cruise. I am actually past final payment date and missed a phone call from MSC this morning. If there is a "Contact Person" near the top of the page that isn't you, that is the person that you need to call to make final payment if the option doesn't appear on the website. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mnpurple Posted November 23, 2022 #12 Share Posted November 23, 2022 I did get my final payment made, but it wasn't through the Casino line because it doesn't let you hold and I left a few messages. I ended up calling the main line, which was listed on my booking info and I seriously hope it doesn't mess anything up. I used a MyVegas 30% off credit and it thoroughly confused the agent I spoke with. I begged her not to change anything, so she ended up just taking my card for payment and I did receive an updated booking showing the payment and everything else looked good. Fingers crossed. Some of us December 7 (110 days before cruise) where as others say their final payment is not until 30 days before the cruise. is this a difference between the US and Europe or what is going on?
