Celebrity Eclipse - Alaska Question

Hello everyone...totally new to cruising and had some basic questions I posted to Reddit, but thought I'd post here as well since this is specifically a cruise forum!

  1. Do all staterooms come with slippers and robes? We are in a veranda room on floor 7. If not, how does one go about requesting them? Can I also request a blanket to sit on balcony?

  2. I've booked set time dining, does this mean we can eat in any of the main dining rooms or will they let us know closer to which one we're assigned to?

  3. Will more excursions become available closer to cruise date? Nothing I'm seeing listed now is of interest.

Those are it for now, I'll be back with more questions most likely. Thank you!

I'd suggest heading over to the Celebrity board for answers:

Celebrity Eclipse only has one Main Dining Room.  There is a separate dining room for passengers in Aqua Class, and another for suite guests, called Luminae.  There is also the buffet.  Robes are provided in all cabins, though they might not be there when you board as they might be in the laundry.  Just ask your steward.  Not sure about slippers.  I’ve asked for blankets on other lines, but not Celebrity so I can’t answer that.  EM

In my experience, you can ask your room steward for just about anything.  Only thing I've ever been denied was one of the navy blue velvet pillows with Queen Victoria's logo ... Cunard could make a fortune selling them.  It's always been my policy to bring with me anything I can't live without, makes life on board much more simple.  I always check the independent ShoreX to see if there are things that might be more interesting than the ship's offerings.  Use CC's 'ports' section for reviews and recommendations.  Enjoy!
